Tailgate Bars Near Yale

    Looking for some suggestions for a good place near Yale for a tailgate before our daughters LAX game.

    A good beer list is secondary but would be a great benefit.

    Any good spots that can handle 15/20 people with good beer and food?

    Lot would depend on the day of the week and the time of the game. Lot's of good places relatively close, but many get super busy if you are talking about a Fri/Sat night game and wouldn't be great for a large group.

    That should work perfect. the Yale Athletic Fields are out on the edge of the City so there are no places that are walkable from there. You will have to drive any place you go. My recommendation would be "Bar". Great New Haven style Pizza (although not as good as Pepe's, Sally's or Modern). They have a good tap list, brew their own beer on site and most importantly have a big open tap room that would be perfect for a group of 15-20. They open at 12:00 on Saturday.
