Hi All, just wanted to see if there was anything I have to do in terms of declaring beer or things I should know when taking it overseas. I'm heading to Greece next week and wanted to bring some stuff over for locals at a bar to try. Thanks in advance.

I've never declared anything when entering into Europe, beerwise.... Just make sure it's well-packed and protected in your checked luggage. Advantage - cans! Nice to see more good, canned craft bier these days....

    Prosit!

You are required to declare if you are bringing in more than allowed limit. I'm fairly sure the limit for beer is the same for all of the european union and it is 16 liters.

So I don't know how much you plan to bring. But as long as it's not more than 16 liters you should be fine. In case you're not familiar with liters, 16 liters is 4.22 gallons.

So you could bring about 21 bombers or about 48 regular bottles.

All in all the weight of it all will be a problem before you reach 16 liters I would guess.
