No order but my top 3 are ddh Fort point, congress street and ddh congress st. But yes, they have ruined all other hoppy beers for me. I no linger trade for anything hoppy and only really drink treehouse pales ales (when I can get out there) and night shift whirlpool. Everything else is a disappointment. Damn you jc!!!

I'm at the point now where I will walk down to Trillium on a Saturday morning and buy one of every IPA they have. DDH Fort Point has been my favorite so far, followed by DDH Melcher Street and the regular Melcher Street IPA. Congress Street is also great. My roommate has a Galaxy Dry Hopped Fort Point in the fridge and it's been staring me in the face for the past two weeks. You think he will notice if it suddenly disappears?

This current batch of Fort Point reminds me of Tree House Green...uncanny resemblance.

So many of them are withing <1% of each other, but if I were forced to choose I'd say DDH Melcher is their best one, and probably my favorite IPA of all time.

Haven't had the chance to try that one yet. If anyone wants to send me a bottle, I can check to see if it would crack my top 3.

I think I would take Trillium over anybody in the northeast right now.. Treehouse, Alchemist, HF, MBC, Bissell (not even in the conversation - same with foundation), Lawsons Finest, 14th Star (<<< sleeper), NEBCO etc.

This thread is almost sickeningly saccharine, but I will also add the Trillium has changed my excitement over other hoppy beers. I no longer feel the urge to go out of my way to try new hoppy beers from different regions. I still definitely enjoy traveling around and seeing what's around, but I rarely find something more enjoyable than what's at home. Epiphany was the last non-Trillium IPA to blow my mind.

And next month I'm leaving the country. :slight_frown:

For what it's worth, I like Maine MO better than Congress Street or any of the HF APAs I've had....Edward, Mosaic. Better than Zombie Dust too. Not that they aren't all fantastic.

Mo is a beast. I don't share your preference but it is an awesome beer.

I'd put my favorite trillium hoppy pales as Vicinity, Galaxy Fort Point, and Fort Point. I've only had 2 of the DDH options and both were at outside venues while doing other things. I remember loving them but don't recall enough for them to crack my top 3 at this time.

Fort point pale ale is probably my favorite beer in the world right now. Standard version. No training wheels.

I mule cases of this and other offerings to my family in the Midwest and trillium now had a cult following in western Wisconsin. My cousin just came to town and shipped a case back to himself.

If or when they ever start canning is the day that I need to probably take out a second mortgage.

I would have to agree with what someone said on the first page about letting Trillium bottles sit for at least a week. When I had the recent batch of Vicinity (bottled day) I was rather disappointed, but a week later, it drinks so much better.

    1) Artaic
    2) Vicinty
    3) Melcher

Top 3 out what I've tried from them thus far. Artaic did drink well right after the release, but thought it was even better with just a few days to let it settle into itself.

Love this thread. Trillium has opened my red completely. Like it's been stated, we're super spoiled. Every single IPA I've had of theirs has been nothing short of absolutely phenomenal. I don't know how, but the consistency in which they brew is astounding.

JC came out w/ a beer called Treecreeper this spring. It was brewed w/ valley malt and (I think) Danko Rye. This beer had me closing my eyes on the first sip. Just stupid good. For me, as close to a perfect beer as it gets. Oh Treecreeper how I miss you.

Had my first DDH FPPA on Saturday and it was quite the experience. Definitely enjoyed it, but it may have been too much for me. I prefer the laid back juiciness of Melcher/Congress, but I know some of my friends will really enjoy the extra bottles I grabbed for them.

My faves were the various Mettle permutations. RIP Mettle. Hopefully there will be some hops for you in 2016.

I'm surprised to see no one with Artaic in their top 5. I had to set my glass down and take a minute for myself after my first sip. Sad to see it not coming back until next year, but all of the available Mosaics are going into Melcher St, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Wormtown, to me, is right up there if you put their best against the best from Trillium and TreeHouse. That said, Wormtown brews a LOT of stuff that's just not my taste, so I think it tends to "water down" the opinion some people have of them. Empty the vats of The Cure, Pils, etc. etc. and fill them with variations of Be Hoppy, Hopulence, and Buddha's Juice and they're easily in that same class, for my money.
