Hello BAs! I'm heading to Tallahassee this weekend for a wedding and am looking for recommendations for good bottle shops, bars, and food. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Quick N Save. It's a gas station (yes really) right next to Leon High School on East Tennessee Street. Best bottle selection in the area.

I can't believe Leon Pub is still there. I lived in Tally over 10 years ago, and it had a great selection at the time and was cash only. Is that still the case?

    Local here...

Bottle Shops...Tally is a desert for beer in bottle shops as we are suffering the after effects of being switched from Brown to Tri Eagle for many of the Craft Brands....Tri Eagle being The Budweiser Distributor and owned by a Busch Family Daughter not surprisingly has made very little effort in stocking the shelves with the Craft Brands they acquired(For example not a single one of The Stone Encore Series..Anniversary IPA's or WootStout made an appearance in Tally since they took over)..if your looking for core Cigar City stuff and Funky Buddha Stuff you will find it but that's about it..

Best shops are Quik and Save on Tennessee Street by Leon High...it's a craphole but well stocked and ABC Store on Thomasville Road at Betton

Brewery Situation is much better as Proof is putting out great beer and is a fantastic place to hang out this time of year....you can also just do The Gaines Street Corridor thing from there as you can walk to Grasslands Brewery(hit or miss)...Madison Social(food and craft beer with unbeatable eye candy) and The Brass Tap which has a huge selection of draft but mostly national stuff

If you want to drive away from Downtown Table 23 and Liberty in Midtown have nice food and craft beer and further out by I-10 Sidecar is the best GastroPub in town with real nice food and craft beer...

if your gonna hit it hard Taxi or Uber it as Tally is a tough city to drive around in if your not familiar with is as we are not laid out in a grid and there are many one way streets(especially downtown) that start suddenly...have fun..great time of year to be here
