According to untappd that one clocked in at 10.5% abv/ 60 IBUs. But it was thin and the most i got out of it was a creamy/carbonated Makers Mark. Which for some folks probably isnt all bad. Dont rely on my opinion of this too heavily, it seems like i missed the party. Came in the day after and got the last of the keg and the bartender didnt have a whole lot of info for me beyond it was MM aged Buff Sweat. However, ABV/IBU/Style fits their Big RICC as opposed to Buff Sweat. Havent been able to really get a good answer on it since.

Tallgrass is currently only available in 13 states across the Midwest and South. No East Coast distro.

Regular Buffalo Sweat is a great go to in the midwest! Excited for the BB version.....hopefully with vanilla notes still intact

This brewery is able to receive enough bourbon barrels to brew this beer in mass quantity?

Just about any brewery can get bourbon barrels whenever they want. Connections and money is what it takes.

I'm looking forward to this, as well. I just hope the barrel doesn't overpower the base, like the bourbon barreled Uroboros Stout from Anthem.

They have a dedicated barrel warehouse at their new brewery. And another building where they are producing their sours. Expect some very nice stuff coming from Tallgrass in another year.

Had a can back in May (test can) and thought it was delicious. A little sweet, but it is an oatmeal stout, I guess. But I remember it standing out quite a bit. I'll buy in to this one.

Really love Vanilla BS, but the regular version didn't stand out to me, and like the above posters I'm a little worried it's too thin of a beer and will be easily overwhelmed by the barrel. I'm hoping for the best, though, and will definitely give it a try.
12 oz. cans don't seem out of line for a BA stout. Rather have a 4 pack of 12 oz.ers than a bomber or single larger can.

The original and vanilla bean sweat are two of my favorites! Tallgrass' offerings are usually pretty solid. Excited about this one.

The base beer is great, had one in Tulsa over the weekend, unfortunately didn't bring any home. Just texted my daughter and told her to grab me some when she returns next week. I will have to have her be looking for this when it is released.
