Here is the most recent Tallgrass Brewing 2015 release calendar. As seen below, there are some new beers to their lineup. Most noted is a new addition to their year-round lineup debuting next month: 16-Bit Double APA. I had the pleasure of trying this at a Tallgrass beer dinner last month and it is outstanding. Will be in my fridge a LOT.

Also starting next month, Tallgrass will be releasing a line of small batch, limited release (mainly barrel-aged) beers. First up will be Wooden Rooster, which is a barrel-aged version of their Velvet Rooster tripel. I'm also really looking forward to Bourbon Barrel Buffalo Sweat this Fall. All of these beers will come in 19.2oz cans and be sold as singles.

Also noted will be two new seasonals. One will be a fruited Saison and the other is a new IPA called Episodic IPA, which will be available only in their new United Hop Theory mixed pack.

Stoked for the this year and the years to come from Tallgrass as they open their new, much larger brewery. They will have a dedicated barrel program, as well as a separate souring facility, so we will likely see some sours coming from them next year as well.

As a K-State grad and lover of all things Manhattan, it's is awesome. Really looking forward to 16-bit and the BA Sweat. Will those get national distribution?

Sounds good. I'm a big fan of Tallgrass and we're lucky to be able to get their beer here in MS. I just wish they would bring back Oasis (imperial ESB). That was one fantastic beer! Good to see them putting out some new stuff though and I'm looking forward to trying all of it.

Like the 24 pack of 8-bit. Wonder what the price point of those will be? Would be a nice go to beach/fishing beer.

Definitely excited for the 16-bit, wooden rooster, and episodic ipa. The hop theory pack sounds interesting as well, it'll be interesting to see what all goes into it. BTW, @bwelch21, love the avatar as I am a K-Stater as well.

No joking, when I spoke with Joe (one of their sales reps) at a recent Tallgrass beer dinner, he said he was most excited about their sour program and that they would indeed be brewing "gueuzes", "lambics" and other sours and will be canning all of them.

Where did you hear about a souring facility? Two Tallgrass brewers are in my home brew club and both have said that Jeff does not want to brew sour beers and instead focus on making better clean beers. I would love to see them produce sours, but as far as I know that is not in the works.

BTW, im very excited for the new beers! Ive had the 16-bit at a home brew club meeting and agree that its fantastic!

They had Kansas Gueuze Project pouring at the Taps & Tastes festival at Boulevardia this past year. I asked the guy pouring when it was going into cans and he just chuckled at me.

Unless I (and everyone else there) was lied to, it is 100% in the works. I heard it directly from Joe Hotek of Tallgrass at a Tallgrass Beer Dinner held at RoCA in Des Moines last month. Message him on Twitter and I'm sure he'd be happy to confirm their separate souring facility. He talked about it with our entire group and said he was very excited for it. Said it would likely be late 2016 or 2017 before we see any sours though, simply due to time to age and condition them before releasing. His Twitter handle is: @TallgrassJoe

Second on the Oasis. I loved that beer. I quite like Zombie Monkey, but their year round stuff is just not that exciting to me now they have dropped Oasis

Assuming that's you in your avatar, I remember you. I was sitting next to the big dude on the end, across from Mark Doll and his wife. I'm still salivating over that Pub Ale Beer Cheese Soup and the Buffalo Sweat Ribeye!

Any idea where this separate facility is? I live in Manhattan and have not heard anything about it. I also thought they were getting into sours, but when Andrew Hood left recently (former head brewer) I was told that they put a stop to the sour experiments. They dumped all of the souring barrels and threw them out. I would absolutely love for them to start brewing sours, but I have heard this will not be the case. I really hope Im wrong though haha. Cheers!

It's part of their new brewery. From what Joe said, it's a separate facility outside of their main brewhouse though and is completely sealed so that no cross contamination/wild yeasts/bacteria from the facility will be able to make it into the main brewery. They also have a dedicated barrel warehouse where they will apparently be aging all of their barrel aged beers in, which is also part of the new brewery.

I'm sure @DollCraftEric would come in and confirm that I'm not bullshitting about the separate sour facility and barrel warehouse at the new Tallgrass Brewery. He is the Tallgrass distributor in Central Iowa, is close friends with Joe and was also at the beer dinner.
