Zipps has it too. $8.49 @ Ale Jail.

It is very, very good. Great flavor, especially for a 5% beer. The vanilla is wonderful with the base beer. I only had one, but probably could have sucked down all four.

Picked up a 4-pack at a tasting for the beer last night, only had the small sample pour but really enjoyed it. Extremely smooth for having such a strong coffee flavor up front.

Anyone seen it in the northwest suburbs?

I picked up a single from Zipps. Glad I didn't get the 4 pack. Not a beer that I will go back to. The base stout was rather thin. The vanilla was noticeable up front but faded fast. Most likely a good thing because it was somewhat cloying. I didn't detect any coffee but, that's just me.

makes sense if the base is buffalo sweat.

It was just what I was looking for. I like the low abv, the price is great, and it's an easy drinker. Definitely not going to blow anyone's doors off, but if you enjoy regular buffalo sweat you would like this as well.

Bringing this thread back because I just saw it at the local shop. Loved this beer last year and glad to see it back again.

I tried some Vanilla Bean Sweet a couple of weeks ago that I had cellared from last year and it was a drain pour for me. I thought it was ok fresh. Was it a mistake to try to store this beer for later?

I would say you probably don't want to cellar any stouts as low as 5%

I'm sure the vanilla faded pretty quickly and I don't think it is particularly high in abv so probably. That being said, experiments are ok too. Now you know.

Glad this is back as i really enjoyed it.

I wouldn't expect great results from cellaring a 5 abv milk stout but I'm curious what made it a drain pour?

The taste was kind of like sour milk. I liked it but didn't love it fresh so maybe someone else may have found it drinkable but it really tasted off to me.

I really like this one. A bit underrated, IMO. I've sent a couple out as extras on trades and always get good feedback.
