Hey BA, Can any of you locals recommend any places in Tampa I can pickup some sours? Here till tomorrow and would love to know of a good place to visit. Any recommendations for dinner tonight as well?
Sours are hard to come by in Tampa. CCB just released one yesterday in their tasting room called American Sour. Dinner is much easier to figure out though and it really depends on the type of food you're going for and the price point.
Yeah I hit up CCB today for lunch. I actually didn't like the new sour but did have some other delicious beers. I'm looking for something casual, mid range price with some good stuff to eat. Kid friendly!
If you like greek food there is Acropolis in Ybor or New Tampa. It's not expensive for what you get at all and they usually have Jai Alai on tap. They also dance around the restauraunt every hour or so and throw napkins in the air so I'm sure the kids would enjoy that. Can sit outside at both locations. Ybor is fun to people watch at and New Tampa is just more room outside. The New Tampa one is right next door to an amazing German restaurant that would make most cellars on this forum jealous, too. Best part is you can buy any of it. It's called Mr. Dunderbak's. They usually have a good list of local stuff on tap also. Your kids will go crazy after they see the candy for sale there though; so plan accordingly.
Dunderbachs is a great place for fantastic beers and German food! Hit it if you can, I do almost every time I'm in tampa.
