I'll be taking a little day trip to Tampa tomorrow from Orlando to pick up my Hunahpu bottles at the brewery. I figured since I was already going to be in town, I wanted to hit up some must do's.

I've really only been to CCB & the brewpub, so what are some other good places to get beer?

I've also been to Cajun on the Bayou, which was awesome! But what are some other good eats?

I'll only been in town for the one day so the closer stuff is, the better.

Rapp is worth a visit for sure. And a little restaurant called Las Margaritas next to a burger king is really good shit. Little hole in the wall that blew me away.

I checked out Rapp's site and it looks like it's a must do. Lots of good beers and I love me some Gose. Also thinking of Peg's.

Rapp, cycle, pegs, southern brewing, 7th sun, barley mow.

Is Cycle and Peg's any different? Looks like Peg's carries Cycles beers. Just wondering if there's a better selection at the brewery or if it's all the same.

They are different, cycle well have more of their beers on and frequently have ba selections on their menu. Pegs carries some of their beers but not nearly as many.

Peg's food is amazing. Cycle's Fixie is addictive. Some St. Pete BA's can hook you up with a 12 step program for that beer.

I'd dedicate the rest of your day to St. Pete. I'd start off with lunch at Brewer's Tasting Room right across the bridge, then hit up Rapp and Pair O' Dice (in close proximity), then finish your day off in St. Pete proper with Cycle, St. Pete Brewing Company, Green Bench, and 3 Daughters all in very close proximity, along with several good food options.

Peg's is awesome, but Gulfport is too long of a haul just for that if you only have a day.

I'd start north and work my way south. 7th sun, barley mow, rapp, cycle, green bench then pegs for dinner.

That's my ideal day for beer.

Thanks for all the recommendations. Unfortunately my wife is a light weight and we were only able to get to Rapp and Pair O' Dice, but what we had was some awesome beers!. We ate at The Burg which was some really good hamburgers in St. Pete. Next time we make it out that way we'll try and hit the rest. Thanks again.
