I am going be flying into Tampa in a week. Are there any good places to get good beer? I prefer somewhere closer to the airport. All suggestions welcomed.

From what I hear, CCB is even IN the airport now. The tap room at the brewery is like 2 miles approx. from the airport though, so no worries.

There are three threads on the first page of the south Atlantic forum in regards to this exact same question.

Although I could have posted in any three of the threads in the south atlantic...

Just moved down here to tampa, and took my father out for Father's Day.

We ended up checking out Cycle, like their beers but had a question.
Are 32oz growler & fill for a beer like Derailleur really $18?
We went to Peg's and had um 5 a piece for a pint! Didn't seem right to me and kind of left me wondering if we got ripped off. Bar tenders were outside having beers most of time we were there. The sign on the wall even said $10. Are no label 32 screw top growlers $8? Any feedback from locals would be great.

    Cheers, Isaac

I'm sure it depends on the beer. Most places around here charge different prices for growler fills depending on their cost of the beer (per glass) and how many pours divide into 32 oz. (or a gallon for larger fills). For example, you might find some house beers like an IPA for around $5 a pint, and you might find a BA Imp. Stout than runs $8 for a snifter. That first beer would be cheaper by the growler than the latter because it's: A) lower production cost, B) lower ABV, C) bigger single pour fill (16 oz vs. 8 oz). So, that generic house IPA might run you $10 for a 32 oz. growler (two 16 oz. beers @ $5.00) and the BA Imp. Stout might run you $32 (four 8 oz. beers @ $8.00).

I understand that. I was wondering since the board on the wall said $10 for a growler. Was the price of a no label screw top growler really $8?

Cycle does cheaper growler fills on Mondays or Tuesdays. Check their Facebook.
