Hey all, I'll be visiting family in Florida and I am wanting to pick up some beers that I can't get back home. What are some of my best bets for bottle shops (or liquor stores with a great selection) in the Pinellas County/Tampa bay area?

    Thanks, and cheers!

P.s. Sorry if this thread has already been made but a search didn't turn up anything quite so specific. If I missed something feel free to link me in the right direction.

So what CCB brews can i expect to find on any given day? Do they usually stay fresh. Can i manage to find most CCB core beers quite easily? Is CCB the only florida brewery that stays on shelves?

Other breweries i'd like to find are 7venth sun, cycle, green bench, st somewhere, funky buddah, point ybel, ft myers, and really any other florida breweries. Which ones make it to the store in bottles?

Well if you're going to that Total Wine, you might as well turn the corner and walk in to CCB.

@Penguin nailed it. Other stuff you might find in stores: Tampa Bay Brewing Co. (get the Reef Donkey APA!), Bold City, Intuition, Big Storm -- all in cans -- and St. Somewhere. Funky Buddha recently started distributing this way so maybe some of that. Whole Foods has a good selection and, on the other side of the bay, Leukens.

So in other words i should make the most of my time there and try to hit up as many breweries that i asked about as i can. No problem there

CCB core beers are available at grocery stores throughout the state.

Thanks man i've been wanting to know the answer to this for some time. How about bombers like marshal, puppy, big sound? Pretty easy to come across?

It kinda sounded that way, I'll admit, but I truly was answering your "stuff-in-cans/bottles" question. Bold City and Intuition, for instance, are a few hours away in Jacksonville; similarly, Pont Ybel is about two hours south. @ZMWTally is absolutely right about finding CCB's core products in grocery stores (e.g., Publix); hell, I've seen Jai Alai in Walmart that's less than a week old!

But to your follow-up: Yes, you should enjoy as many of the Bay area's breweries as possible ... and especially CCB since it's quite literally right around the corner from Total Wine.
