My apologies if I missed a prior post on this. Going to to the Saturday (26th) session. Wasn't planning on showing up too far in advance of the 1pm start time and assumed this wasn't going to be one of "those" Beer Fests. A friend (whose never been mind you) heard that the lines to get in can be lengthy. Didn't mention beer lines (I'm not that concerned with that as I will find something without a line). Any advice from prior attendees on arrival time/expectations on length of time to get in/processed.

Many thanks to any for any help

The corn dog lines are the worst. You don't even know.

You get right in the last two years I attended. Beer lines were short too. Great fest can't wait going to both sessions. Show up ten mins early and you'll be fine

Yeah, they improved the initial wait considerably recently. There are so many breweries attending now that there will be little waiting inside, too. Have a ball!

Yeah, show up 10-15 minutes before and you will get right in. The lines at the brewers aren't more than a 5 minute wait max. My only gripe with the TAP NY is that the breweries there for the most part bring their flagship beers and stuff you could get at any bar or bottle shop. They don't really bring in any one-offs or specialty beers. Nevertheless, it is well organized, plenty of food and water is there, decent amount of good looking chicks and not too much in the way of drunken douchebaggery.

Very true. Being from western ny I'm usually ok with drinking flagships from the Hudson area breweries since they rarely distribute up here. One great aspect is that breweries tend to brings nice number of beers to tap, instead of just one or two.
