Question for you maman drinkers. Had my first maman and noticed there was a tape around the cap inside the wax. It almost looks like masking tape but thicker. Is that normal? First time seeing this on a brewery waxed bottle ( I haven't had many to begin with). Thanks.
It's basically a thin flat rope-like string. If you noticed it stuck out of the wax. The idea is you're supposed to be able to grab and pull it and the wax will pop off the cap so you can open it. It rarely works that way, at least for me.
