My parents have a place in the small town of Bridgman MI. Looks like a new brewery is popping up there called Tapistry. Anyone know anything about it like where the brewers came from, background info etc? Will be cool to have a local spot to frequent and support when I go up there!

According to Sand Creek's Facebook page, their lead brewer, Nate Peck, will be the brewmaster at Tapistry.

Anyone hear an opening date? Late July? They have a beer on tap at the Get A Way in Bridgman and Players in St. Joseph, MI; several on tap at The Buck Burgers and Brew in St. Joseph.

This brewery opened on 7/21 and has posted the hours on their website of 11 to 11, 7 days per week. I had one of their beers on tap at the Taste of Kalamazoo on Saturday, and it 'told' me to go to the brewery to try more. I'm going to head there tomorrow to check it out. http://www.tapistrybrewing.com/

Went there on Saturday with the wife. Planned on trying all 15 of their beers on tap. We sampled 10 then left. The Chocola Java Stout was good but didn't really care for the rest. One of the IPAs was pretty diacetyl. I'll probably revisit them in a couple of months after they have time to tweak some recipes.

I tried their saison at Summer Beer Fest and was not overly impressed. They were right next to Griffin Claw though, which isn't even fair. I still look forward to stopping in for a flight or two at Tapistry the next time I head to Greenbush.
