    WHAT? Thats like down the street from my office. I am at 3027 Marina Bay Drive!

    Really hoping for Cuban as well!

    I will drive by after work and see what if any building is going on. Its at the corner of Marina Bay Drive and Lighthouse in the same shopping center as Smoothie King

    pro-tip: don't click youtube links from thailand that popup when you google search "castro pub"

    Yeah, its super close to my house. Didnt think it could get closer than Nobi haha. My wife found it this morning.

    Heres some more info from the league city facebook page.:

    They plan to open in about 45 days. They will have 60 beers on tap and about 100 bottled beers and great food!

    WOW! Wonder if they will be doing liquor.. I hope not so they can do growler fills!

    Wow, I didnt realize we all lived so close together. Looks like we will have to plan a bottle share in a couple months...

    I work in League City but live near 610 and South Post Oak in the Meyerland area. I cant attend anything down south due to work schedule, commute, and 2 small kids under the age of 2...

    I did stop by the location and its the end unit that has the outside seating area. Pretty big space but looking inside it needs alot of work to be open in 45 days. Doesnt look like it has been opened since whatever was there before shut down. They did have a building permit on the door for a patio encloser/awning

    Is that what that was? I have only started working on that side of the lake in the last 4 months. My old office used to be over across from NASA next to the Hospital..

    The good lunch style restaurant selection on the south side of the lake is lacking! Its either Pomodoro's, fast food burgers, or heading over to Kemah and getting caught in the tourist trap restaurants.

    Check out Kemah Cafe on 518 and 146. Good Vietnamese food. Yeah. The restaurant scene is lacking but I'm a pretty big Pomodoros fan.

    My in-laws live in that neighborhood behind there and I'm about 3 miles up the road. For me Nobi is still closer but this will be a nice option to have.

    Awesome, another option for beer on the Southside. I agree with Chris about the liquor license, another spot for growlers would be great.

    I'm also in League City, but I live west of 45.

    Womp womp womp... No growler fills or cuban themed gastro pub with hilarious owner. Who wants to start a cuban themed gastro pub called Castro's public house?

    This is what they told me on Facebook:
    • It's my understanding that they will be serving a variety of foods including seafood and burgers and will also have a full bar.
    • I just got confirmation from the owner. It is Tapology Gastro Pub
