    Hey BA,

So I've never had a Bruery stout, and my buddy KILLED my birthday gift this year and gave me this:
    Black Tuesday '13
    Chocolate Rain '13
    Grey Monday '13
    Mocha Wednesday

This is happening this afternoon! BAers vote now! Cheers!!

4 awesome beers. Savor as much as you can. At least that's my opinion.

    None of the above.

If you manage to actually finish off all four of those beers either side by side or one after the other you're not going to get the full flavor and enjoyment out of all of them because a) you'll have an exhausted palate long before you finish, and b) you'll probably be so wasted you won't remember much tomorrow about any of them.

Do a beer a week and make the next 3 Sundays part of the celebration as well.

And congratulations both on the birthday and on having such a great friend.

Great friend, great beers and Happy Birthday.

However, I'd maybe try and space it out if you want to knock them all back.

Depending on how many people come to taste it, I'd say atleast 4 min, you could maybe get them all done throughout the day.

I'd take the advice of maybe doing.. 1 or 2 bottles, and then doing more later. No sense in indulging that deep, IMO.

Again.. if it's you two drinking.. I'd do a bottle, and then maybe some other smaller stuff. Make it a month long affair.

This. Unless you're doing a tasting with friends, in which case pop them all at once and do a flight per person, then finish them off from there.

I really wish I had been more specific so as to receive accurate feedback. The guy that gave me the gift is in on the tasting as we'll along with 1-2 other dude. I'm NOT doing this solo. Sorry for not being more specific.

So your friend is giving you diabetes for your birthday?

If you must do this all today, I'd say open the BT and try it first, then pour small pours of it side by side with each other bottle opened. This way you can see what the added coffee does in MW, what the added chocolate does in CR, etc...

    This is an excellent suggestion.

Haha. Yes it came with an insulin shot as well. Hell of a gift from a hell of a guy.

Thanks for some immediate feedback, everyone. Bottles are chilled, bellies have been prepped, and we're about ready to climb this stoutain!

None of the ABOVE. One at a time, on special occasions. Celebrate your birthday for the next 4 weekends. That's a good friend btw.

I like the way you think...great advice but if he can't wait 3 weeks he needs to at least do one each day over the next three...cheers!

If you have a pitcher that holds 3+ liters, then I would go with option three.

100% agree. Unless you're sharing with a few friends, drink one, savor and enjoy it, and have another some other day.

Fuck man, those aren't small beers. :stuck_out_tongue: Now, if you're doing a tasting with your buddy (and hopefully another friend or two), I say crack them all at once and taste them blind. That would be awesome.

Haha. Tired but solid. My chocolate chip pancakes tasted like Black Tuesday! It was a feat but a really fun experience. We started at 3 and last sips we're consumed around 11. We cracked one bottle at a time to try and then continue to drink thought the night as the other bottles we're cracked. We had very low ABV palate cleansers along with a ton of food. For the experience, it was freaking awesome. Now any other bottles of Bruery stouts that I land (ISO as of yesterday) I can save and savor.

If anyone wanted to know my order, this was the final result:
    CR
    MW
    GM
    BT

    Thanks for chiming in everyone!!
