Tasting groups in LA/hollywood area

    My girlfriend and I just relocated to LA and are looking for a new tasting group. Hoping for a group to meet every other month (or more!) bring some bottles and rotate hosts. If anyone would be nice enough to let us join theirs, or have any insight, it would be appreciated! Cheers

    Also ill be at the BT party in the early session if anyone wants to meet up

    We had a good group that met around the downtown area a few times, but haven't put anything together in a few months now. I'm thinking it might be time again...

    38 Degrees Alehouse in Alhambra hosts a great bottle share at the end of every month. Good people, good beer, great bar/restaurant.

    Thanks for the tips. Downtown is pretty close to me and I will try and make it out to 38 Degrees

    You remember the last one? I mean, we had what? Five 50/50 eclipses going with at least 4oz pours each... yeah, that was a haze.Not to mention the couple of Hill Farmstead bottles... fuuuuuuuuu yeah, that was a tasting.

    We talked about tossing one over at Beer Belly's patio area on the weekend some time. I'll see if I can get a hold of them and it make it happen mid-November.

    Woodshop's Chris also host a brown bag night at the Hermosillo every third Monday of the month with a rotating theme of what to bring for mystery tasting.

    I believe next month is winter warmers/winter season beers. Then we close out the year with the best of list. The last one, GABF award winners, was a pretty interesting tasting as it had a wide open field for what was opened.

    Count me in for the tasting group ... I know I got the invite the last couple times and couldnt go. I was bumming after I saw the pictures, but always down for a bottle share

    I only went to the first one of those downtown shares, but I had a really great time. It'd be awesome to get another one going.

    If you haven't been to a 38 degrees bottle share, I don't know what to say. Those are always fly and Danny Fullpint knows how to do it right. Last time we had a Firestone Anniversary 10-16 vert to sip.

    Down for tastings, I live in Pasadena so pretty close to everywhere. Had a tasting with Nicks6217 above actually at his house. He literally lives across the street from 38degrees

    Sounds like we have a good group of people interested! Please BM or post here for future meetups, I'd love to make it to the next one. Is 38 having a bottle share this weekend?

    I think 38 degrees skipped it this month because of Woodshop and their own Hoptoberfest last weekend. I'll post a link on this thread when they post their next bottle share on facebook.
