I got an email from Buzz this morning and it looks like a decent lineup. I usually miss these tastings due do work, but I'm thinking about going tonight. Anyone else planning to go?

P.S. I never start threads, but I noticed this thread (about a tasting at Buzz) in the Pacific forum recently, so I figured this would be as good a place as any to post this.

    Tonight...Drink ALL the Beer!!

    1. Port Brewing "Older Viscocity"

Old Viscosity is a super intense dark stout. Older viscosity is Old Viscosity aged in Bourbon barrells. Vanilla, caramel and brown sugar/molasses on the palate. Also, a very interesting herbaciousness on the thick and syrupy palate. At 12% ABV, you've got to drink this slowly. But why would you want to do anything other than peacefully enjoy a sip here and there of this magnificently intense brew?
    2. Strand Brewing "Atticus IPA"
Very dark copper in the glass. Maltier, hoppier version of 24th. Same impeccable balance. Thicker pine, bitterness, fruit. Ages well for style. 7.1% ABV.

    3. Mad River "Serious Madness Black IPA"
This black ale is bittered with Magnum hops, flavor and aromatics are enhanced by Hallertau and Tettnanger with Willamette hops utilized for added aroma in the hop back. This beer is inky black with amber edges, light bodied, silky smooth, complex and delicious. Not for the meek and timid this beer ferments out at a gratifying 8.6% ABV and 74.7 IBU’s. Best served at 45 degrees in a snifter.

    4. Almanac "Biere De Chocolat"
Biere de Chocolat is bursting with cocoa flavors and aromas, balancing sweet and savory to create a complex but quaffable chocolate brew. Pairs well with a variety of dishes, including desserts. 5.5% ABV.

    5. Anderson Valley "Bourbon Barrel Stout"
Aged for three months in Wild Turkey Bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. The woody, vanilla-like notes imparted by the barrels mingle with aromas of fresh baked bread, toffee, and espresso and envelop the rich chocolate and roasted barley flavors with a fine bourbon character. 6.9% ABV.
