Well, after years of no problems, Tavour finally “lost” a crate of mine. How does that even happen? Two bottles of Alex’s life in there too, gone forever.
Bummer. I still haven't had a single issue over several years. I guess it's just a matter of time. I have had more problems with breweries sending me beer than Tavour.
Wow, surprising, sorry that’s happening for you. Almost had a similar situation, but Tavour was adamant in exhausting all possibilities before calling it a loss and issuing a refund. It did turn up eventually. That said, I continue to order because of the beer accessibility, but their 3rd party delivery services (for me it’s Gio Express) leave much to be desired in terms of timeliness, communication, and consistency.
I got refunded, supposedly none of what I had in the crate was replaceable. According to the tracking updates, it made it to a delivery depot about 40 minutes from me and disappeared!
Yeah I suppose I should place the blame on the delivery service rather than Tavour themselves. Hope my luck turns out like yours and it shows up on my doorstep one day, but who knows
What exactly does "lost" mean? They canceled your crate and refunded you? OR your paid for a crate that disappeared, and they have not made it right? Have you contacted them? Are they making an effort to make it right? I'm new to Tavour. Been happy so far, but I did notice several beers on my "wishlist" just disappeared with no explanation. Not sure if this is expected, but I would have expected an email. EDIT: I see you were refunded. Glad to hear this because I really like Tavour
Yeah, generally their customer service is pretty good. Any issues I’ve had in the past were resolved quickly, and the refund in this case was processed quickly as well. Would’ve rather had the beer, but it is what it is. A lot of these issues to my knowledge are on the delivery services end, and I guess that’s not really something the folks at Tavour can fix themselves. I have a crate open as we speak, and will still be using the app lol
Received a box from Tavour on Saturday (arrived 2 days after crate closed) and everything was packed well. I tried a barleywine from Transient last night (Bubba Batch #1 from Transient) and it was badly infected. I reached out last night and they responded at 7am today issuing a refund. Very happy with their customer service.
I used to get home delivery from a last leg carrier. They were equally terrible. After enough complaints, they parted ways, but a replacement was never found. Now I drive two hours each way to get anything I order from a UPS store in PA. Lesson: late, horrible, poor communication with eventual delivery might be preferable than no home delivery and the added time and expense to ship elsewhere for self pick-up. $0.02.
Had the same thing happen a few years ago and got the same result. Never had anything but good experiences with their customer service.
I hate to break up the love-fest, but after five years of ordering from Tavour on & off, I finally had a box go into the void. The note on the app said the shipped 9/5 and the last note as of 9/12 that it was "delayed" but headed towards my local service. The customer service was horseshit, with an apology to horseshit. Two days or back & forth via email & they couldn't (or wouldn't) tell me where my box was. And of course they don't answer their phone. By this afternoon I was pretty pissed that an expensive bunch of beer appeared to be lost. Lo & behold my doorbell rings at 6:30. Beer! So all's well that ends well. But evidently Tavour is like your cable company, wonderful until you have to talk to someone about a problem. It makes me leery of opening up another big box.
In my experience, it's not Tavour where the issues lie. The 3rd party delivery services are just a total gamble. Usually I get no tracking updates until it's at the delivery service, and sometimes no further updates, even after it's been delivered. They're basically an uber delivery service. Regular people driving up at any given time in their normal vehicles. I've had them show up at 8am and others at 10pm
I have read/heard the same but this was 100% Tavour f-up. Nothing to do with my local delivery service - when I've had an issue with them (rare but it's happened!) they were very accommodating.
