had a few bottles in a wine fridge in basement I kept at a constant temp. Thing must have went screwy and the fridge got decently colder. Not sure for how long. Got the temp steady where it was. Any damage likely?

Colder will not hurt anything, it's only if the beer gets hot that it's an issue.

you should be completely fine. If anything, any 'aging' process that you are hoping for was stalled for that extra cold period of time. If it froze there might be some strange forces at work but as long as it didn't freeze you are fine

    Bringing this back up.

what are your opinions if beers stored in mini fridge for a while were transferred to shelves in cool basement?

I think temperature fluctuations under 60ish degrees and above 40ish degrees are pretty inconsequential. Major concerns would be fluctuations up into the 70s and down into the low 30s
