Temperature Controller Question

    For you guys running a Johnson Temperature Controller on your beer fridge. What setting are you using? I'm thinking about setting the temp on 45 degrees, but what do you use as a min and max. I'm thinking about putting the probe in a bottle of water. What are your thoughts on this? Any other suggestions or concerns? Thanks

    Give me a week or two and I'll have some feedback...I ordered an A19AAT-2C that should be arriving today. Fingers crossed I'm able to find a wiring diagram for the chest freezer the previous homeowners left me.

    Came yesterday and I realized I'm stupid. This controller seems like it's going to be a lot easier than I thought - plug and play. Now to defrost my freezer...

    I think mine is set at 52 with a +/- of 2 degrees. I didn't want to create any holes in my freezer so I just taped the probe to the top back. I think the wire is small enough that it does not impact the seal from closing completely.

    I agree with @fredmugs - I just run the wire through the door - doesn't impact the seal at all. I also run my temp around 52-54 degrees.

    I didn't borrow a calibrated thermometer from work, but the garden thermometer the previous homeowner left was hovering right around the 50F I set the fridge to. I don't think my model has a MIN/MAX, but I haven't read any paperwork on it yet. Pretty sure we have different controllers.
