drinking a 2011 brooklyn monster ale and its alright when its cold but i think this beer is so damn good almost at room temperature(i know certain styles have recommendations for serving at certain temps)...anyone have extreme stories where they almost couldnt drink a beer at warm temps(or cold)?

I recently had a Mission Barrel-Aged Dark Seas that was pretty good fresh out of the 50-degree fridge, but almost undrinkable when it warmed up. The booze became overwhelming.

Troeg's Mad Elf is one of my favorites, but when it's cold it kind of tastes like bad sour white wine. Once it warms up, the cherry and spices are fantastic.

i probably had the same opinion...tried a few sips of it out of the fridge and decided it was a rare drainpour...ill give it another shot and let it warm up
