I have noticed that over the past 6 months or so that the RRBC board online has no mention of Temptation. I know these beers take time, but I am surprised that it has been off for so long. Maybe I am just unfamiliar with the release schedule, but I was always under the impression that they always had Supplication, Concecration, and Temptation as the core sours always available. Maybe a bulk of it got chewed up for the FfaC (Temptation is the base I believe). Anybody have an idea what they might be doing?
If you were under the impression that these were always available then you haven't been paying attention at all. There have always been times when one or two aren't around at all. Temptation sold out at the brewery about a month ago, and it'll be a month or two before it returns. Was it hurt by being the base for FfaC? Yeah, but that was only a few hundred bottles, it'd still be sold out by now if they didn't do FfaC.

I don't remember what it was. 2k bottles? Regardless, it's not all that much, Temptation would still be sold out by now if they didn't do that. That was a rumor that someone claimed to have heard from a RR bartender. Why anyone would trust a bartender to have inside info and be honest about it, I dunno. I debunked this in like half an hour by e-mailing Vinnie, then confirmed with Natalie last weekend.
I must have lucked out every visit I have been there. Over the past 5 years or so, I have probably been up around twice a year, and as I recall, it has been on every time. Just wanted to get some info to be certain that it wasnt taking a long hiatus, not trying to stir up the rumor pot. Thanks for the info guys!
Now I'm confused. Vinny himself said Temptation won't be released for a very long time. Maybe I misunderstood him?
Well, maybe he meant 3 months was a long time. Maybe he thought you meant Beatification. Maybe he was fucking with you. All I know is that both he and Natalie have told me that it's already in bottles, conditioning.
It's a rotating release. Sometimes they have it sometimes they don't. For me it's about 50/50 but their website normally is accurate about what they have in bottles and on draft.
The inner asshole in me is trying to shut up. I readily admitted that I could have completely misunderstood what Vinny said. No need to act cool bro.
