So a bottle shop around the corner has some ten fidy that was canned in 2010 (checked the bottom of the cans for the date). It still carries the usual price (for my area) of $15 / 4pack. My question is how well does this beer hold up to time? I know for a fact that it's been in the back cooler this entire time (i know and trust the manager of this shop, who told me this). Is it still smart buy these cans or should i just try to find some that is fresher... which might be hard to do here in my neck of the woods?

    Bottled? Sounds counterfeit.

Seriously though, if you're okay with the price, get it. I had it with one year on it, and I preferred it heavily over the fresher stuff. Still not worth the price they're asking (in my opinion), but I picked this stuff up for just over $10 a four pack.

I had it after a year and it was better. The fresh cans tasted a bit metallic.

I too prefer Ten Fidy with some age on it. 3 or 4 years on it...no problemo.

I had a can from the same year this past January. Id buy it if I were you and the price is reasonable.

I just had some 2009 fidy, and it was smooth as anything. If it has been stored well, I say go for it.

Same here, found some 09 a few weeks ago and the one I've tried so far was delicious. This stuff could easily stand up to 10 years of proper aging.

It's rotten for sure. Just let me know which shop it's at so I can remove it from the shelves....
Seriously though, ten fidy can sit for a long time under the right conditions and just get better and. Better. I've heard that about two years is perfect.
