I've got over 100 oz here already, with another 64 oz on the way.

I'll take care of it pretty easily in the course of a year... When you use close to half a pound in an IPA, recipe, and 2-3 oz more to dry hop, it goes fast.

Maybe if you guys didn't buy a whole freaggin' pound of it I could get an oz or two! I should be pointing the finger at the supplier.

I have way over 10 Lbs in my freezer, it is full with pellets and whole cone. If you brew a lot, and brew American, English, German and Czech styles you use up some hops. A good year of homegrown hops helps pack the freezer full.

Don't ask about the malt supply. Just don't.

I thought they limited their more scarce hops to a few oz per purchase

Nah.. Straight pounds, it's easier and who the fuck wants to pay shipping and buy a couple of oz anyways. I'll go to my LHBS and buy it buy the ounce if I need it, and actually save money.

Buying a pound of Citra for $17.25 a pound is 1.07 an ounce. Generally HD will do roughly 19 ounces, atleast in the whole leaf. Thats .90 an ounce... At that price, I'll buy some other stuff to cover shipping, and my hops come out cheap... Over half the price of what I pay locally.

I'm gonna buy 1 lb of Simcoe and pound of Mosaic and I'm done this year.. 15 pounds of hops, I'll probably have some of the obscure ones left this time next year.

    From Wholesalehops.com....
"If you did not get the chance to purchase Simcoe, Amarillo and Citra, don't worry there will be more. Check back often!"

Grabbed some after a blind landing at Wholesalehops.com the other day ago (11/8) when these badboys were in stock for a few nano-seconds...going for 19 - 20 USD / # + their so-called 'flat rate' shipping.

Not asking, but now wondering if that's behind the mystery of why Norther Brewer recently sent me a bag of Schill Pilsner malt instead of the requested Weyermann....

The hops have a way of running out just when I am ready to brew a new beer.
Just bought a bag of Weyermann pils at Adventures in Homebrewing last Friday. Not my fault.

    Not familiar with Schill Pils.

Just got a pound each of amarillo, simcoe, and centennial at Farmhouse Brewing Supply. Site is pretty slow, though, everybody is hitting it up.

Yep, $19 for Simcoe, $22 for Amarillo, and $16 for Centennial. They had a small amount of Citra as well, but I wasn't interested, so I didn't check the price.

Fuck it. I'm just not going to use Amarillo this year.

FWIW, Freshops.com still has Simcoe and Amarillo leaf hops for this year and the prices aren't too bad. I know some people prefer pellets but if you want to get your hands on some bulk hops, you could do worse.
