My experiences so far have been more on the curiosity side. Avery Fortuna is a sour aged in tequila barrels. That has been my best experience.
Second place would go to Prairie Ok-Si. The sweet dark malt and tequila flavor blended well together.
    Stone/Wicked Weed/Eliptic Points Unknown IPA was just odd. IPA/Belgian Tripel/Tequila flavors=too busy.
Excel Brewing in southern Illinois makes Bruja, which is a pumpkin beer aged in tequila barrels. That was ok.
My brother-in-law just sent me Lost Abbey Agave Maria (as they don't distribute where I am). I'll let you know about that one once I crack it.
Oh, and here's a great link to find more of these beers:

Black Damnation XII which was half Port half Tequila. It was yummy but overpriced.

Avery Fortuna was tasty, but not traditional. Cool but expensive beer as well.

Tequila BA Cake was the best of the variants last year!

Odell Myrcenario is Myrcenary IPA that is aged in Tequila barrels. And subsequently, you can get Jose Cuervo aged in Myrcenario barrels. Just like the Jameson Caskmates project.

I tried Avery Fortuna and thought it was pretty nice.

From around here, Licking hole Creek dropped La Calavera Catrina last year. Tequila barrel aged tripel with lime zest. I thought it was incredible.

We covered tequila barrel-aged beers in issue 99 of the magazine. Grab a back issue from the store or download a digital issue for your mobile device to learn more.

Yeah, the bottle I had of this was one of the worst beers I've ever had. Smelled and tasted like rotting garbage.
