Any word on what/when the WnB variants are this year and when they'll be hitting shelves? I didn't see anything on Terrapin's website about them

What's up with them using artificial flavors? It's cheating IMO, taking the easy way out and pretty disgusting.

They may as well sell some DYI box sets and then you can come up with your own variants with whatever artificial flavors they want to include.

I picked up a couple of bottles of Tiramisu-Hoo this week. My bottles say they used cocoa nibs with natural flavors, FWIW. I do know they have used artificial flavors in other variants.

Tiramisu-hoo already hit SW and SE Florida. Agree about the Cinnamon wnb...whole foods ft Lauderdale turned away 2 cases last year because of the artificial ingredients!

    Tiramisu-hoo isn't a W-n-B variant

It's a Moo Hoo variant, same series. The entire line has used artificial adjuncts from what I've seen, and they've all been thin, watery, and pretty bad IMO.

Is Cinnamon Roll'd making it to Savannah?

Yes and Cinnamon Roll'd was incredible. I don't know what they used but it was very well done and it wasn't thin. They got a lot of backlash in the last year with this series and I believe they've amped it up quite a bit. Ill hope for the best and I cant wait until WnBCR makes it to Orlando.

Thousands upon thousands of craft beers now have artificial/natural flavors added. Look closely at any bottle claiming to have adjuncts and you'll see the added flavors. I know the stigma is "artificial flavors bad! natural flavors good!" when it's all a marketing strategy. The artificial/natural adjective only describes the origin of the flavor, not the compound itself. In fact, you can have the exact same compound be considered a natural flavor and artificial flavor depending on how it's derived. The molecular structure of the chemical is exactly the same--as is your body's processing of it--the only difference is the chemicals from which it is derived.

I think what Jason was talking about is it's cheating to just add taste chemicals to a beer instead of brewing it with the natural ingredients. Anyone can take a Miller lite and dump some pumpkin spice into it. Kind of defeats the purpose. At least, that's what I gathered from his post and the Whole Foods thing, that's just their policy, I went in there to buy food coloring once, they don't sell it , go figure.

At least they don't cheat on Liquid Bliss like DuClaw does with SBJ.

Eh, I've had plenty of "natural" beers that are shite and beers with flavors added that are amazing. Plenty of pumpkin ales taste like Miller Lite with a shitton of nutmeg thrown in. Often times the flavors added and the ingredient contribute the same chemicals to the beer and thus the same flavors. Like I said, tons and tons of beers now have flavors added, which is okay by me and okay by most judging by the lack of uproar. When people get upset because it's an "artificial" flavor instead of a "natural" flavor, though, I get a bit annoyed since it's playing into a marketing strategy (kind of like buying something because it says "all natural" even though there is no definition/requirements for that label).

Liquid Bliss is brewed with artificial flavors, and I've been told that on the newest SBJ batches the recipe has changed and the new labels say "with natural flavor" versus "with artificial flavor" but I haven't seen one in the wild yet to verify that.

True ... agreed that we can lump those "natural flavor" extracts into this as well though the artificial ones seem to really stand out with me and being they all want to be called "craft" you'd think they would steer clear of "artificial" ... at least with "natural flavors" it could be something simple as wood chips. Also not sure if food labeling is the same as alcohol labeling when it comes to federal labeling, my guess is that it is not the same but I get your point regardless.

I wouldn't complain if I stumbled upon a keg of Rum WnB again this year...regardless of "additives" that beer was delicious.

Yeah, like @chefkevlar said above, Liquid Bliss is straight artificial flavoring for the PB part now. It wasn't that way with the original, fantastic bomber version, but now it is.
