If GA beer laws change, do you guys see the waxed bottle releases staying in distro or becoming brewery only releases?

It would stay in distro, and be available at the brewery for limited release.

I would expect to see the smaller guys, Orpheus, Creature Comforts, and maybe Jekyll/Monday Night doing brewery releases

Distro for Terrapin, there's reach is pretty far in some cases, with maybe a pre release, early local release before it's in distro.

I would love to see breweries be able to do brewery release stuff, myself. Would bring in so many people to the state once the beers become popular. Would be a win, win for everyone.

Offering some up as brewery only or brewery before distro just makes sense. It connects you to the local market and it allows you to avoid distribution costs on some of your sales. However at the volumes they produce I imagine they would still go into distro as well.

However, as AW311 pointed out, this will definitely open up for brewery only releases from the smaller guys. I know for a fact that Burnt Hickory would do them as I've talked to them about it before. Maybe some nice small batch sours out of the barrel program at Orpheus? Count me in.

For the most part, if I have a beer in barrels, I have it in multiple barrels so that distribution makes sense. There are a few exceptions though (muscadines in Cognac barrel, sour cherries in Sauternes barrel, and a few others). Having that option would also mean being able to do some different stuff that's hard to do pricewise when having to go through two other levels of markups.
