Just had this on tap at Branch Line in Watertown tonight. It's friggin great. Probably a dumb question but is this available in bottles around Boston? Or because it's so awesome it's another impossible to get beer? I see other Grimm beers around just don't know much about this one. Seriously though, I was blown away by this beer.
The only beers from Grimm that I see in Mass bottle shops are the ageable beers. Double Negative (reg and BA version), Purple Prose, Symmetry, Rainbow Dome... Stuff like that. I'm hoping they decide to send some of their hoppy stuff into Mass.
To my knowledge they never bottle their IPAs. Other than a few NYC-only can releases it's been draft or bust.
as others have said cans were in NYC only, quite expensive, and highly limited (most places were doing $5-6/can, 2 cans per person). so tough to get here, with most places only getting a case or two and selling out within an hour or so. that paste (i think?) article has really caused demand to skyrocket for these guys, especially with the IPAs
Figures. It was soo good that it had to be another "impossible the find" beer. Getting a little jaded on these honestly. It wasn't that much better than Billy full stack & that comes around here quite often.
Grabbed three 4 packs of 16oz cans from 3 different beer stores in Albany 2 weeks ago. Outstanding beer.
I've had it on tap at Picco and Merchant. Enjoyed it and would pick up a four-pack if cans made it to Boston, but not worth chasing for me. Not on the level of Trillium, TH, etc.
