Testing cans by flicking them

    Well, in summary, I'm a lunatic flicking cans of beer and hoping for the right sound.

    Beers don’t get funk unless infected with wild yeast. The beers you mention so far are not likely to get funk sinc most of all are pasteurized.

    Not fresh... any dates on the can?

    I never looked at the bottom of the can unless it was through the tab. The cans of Coors Banquet I'm drinking right now are stamped Oct-28-19, so they have a couple months before they "expire"

    Amigo, I think you and your buddies have been trapped into believing something by "word of mouth," much like playing the game called "Whisper down the lane." or "Chinese Whispers."

    How many "bad" beers have you dumped? Must have been several if the beer was "bad" before you opened it or tasted bad while sipping it...
