I am in from Memphis checking out breweries, beer bars and bottle shops here in the Republic. I went to Saint Arnold in Houston and Spoetzl in Shiner. I am currently in Austin, from here I am heading up to Fort Worth for lunch on Monday. Then I will be in Dallas area for a week.

    I would love suggestions.

Currently, I am going to go to 512, Hops and Grains, Real Ale, Twisted X, Jester King, Rahr, Community, Deep Ellum, Peticolas, Franconia.

    Thank y'all

Looks like you got the breweries covered. If you can, while in Austin check out Craft Pride. A really cool bar, and one of the only places I know of that has all Texas taps. Lots of other places of coarse, but also check out Pinthouse Pizza. Really good brewpub in Austin. Oh ya, good pizza too.

Ditto Austin Beerworks. In DFW, I'd drop Franconia and do Lakewood (or do both if you have the time).

Trade ABW for Twisted X. Looks good otherwise.

Pinthouse Pizza is a good one in Austin too. You can eat & drink there, then walk down to Draughthouse in <10 minutes.
Draughthouse has their tap list online, as does Craft Pride (IDK how up to date it is) and Banger's (it's not too good right now).
I'd trade Twisted X and Franconia for other breweries or bars.
Possibly Rahr and Deep Ellum too, if I was new to TX beer and could get more breadth at a bar.
    Cheers!

Sounds like an awesome trip! One place that hasn't been mentioned yet is Live Oak. According to the site they have a tour set up for Saturday. Great group of people working there, and they're making some awesome beer.

Yeah, Live Oak is making the best Hefeweizen in the country!

Easy Tiger is usually pretty cool for us to hit up on 6th st in Austin, you could also stop in at Balcones Distilling on the way to Dallas. They make some pretty nice stuff. If you homebrew, they are a good place to get high quality 5 gallon barrels.

This this this. Franconia is a good hike out of the way, and Lakewood is bigger and making more interesting beers IMO.

I think Franconia is worth skipping...Community, Lakewood, Peticolas, Four Corners, Deep Ellum, etc all make better beer IMO.

Hello. As far as brewery tours in Dallas, Peticolas will not have a tour while you are here but Community, Deep Ellum, Lakewood will. In the Fort Worth area I would recommend the Martin House tour and the Rahr tour on Wednesday. About 20 minutes from Fort Worth in Granbury TX is Revolver brewing and that is very much worth it.

As far as places to drink local beer and craft beer in Dallas you have the Common Table, the Meddlesome Moth, LUCK, Goodfriend, the Bottle Shop and Strangeways to name a few.

Places where you can fill growlers are LUCK, Craft & Growler, the Bottle Shop, select Whole Foods and the newly opened Lakewood Growler.

Places to buy beer are Spec's, Total Wine, Lonestar Beverages, Whole Foods, Central Market and Pogo's.

LUCK is a good all in one destination in that you can get all the local beers, eat some phenomenal food and fill growlers to go.

Check out the Dallas Brew Scene website for all things related to craft beer in the DFW area.
