I'll be heading down the the Texas coast for the next week and plan on enjoying the few small breweries that port aransas and the gulf coast have to offer. We will be taking our fine brews offshore and have the reviews to follow while fishing. If there are any suggestions or locations yall have please let me know and I'll try to get to them. Trying to make this a fun project while we are doing work fishing. Thanks yall.
The Texas coast is over 350 miles. Maybe you can be a little more specific. You will want cans. Karbach?
Just hit up the Specs and Liquid Town on SPID on your way to Port A. No Lone Pint or Live Oak, but you will find some good stuff, and occasionally some hidden gems.
So was able to check out The Brewery formerly Port Aransas brewery and they have one hell of an IPA. No bottles sine they are so small. Try the club too it goes great with their Hef.
Drinking Grandma Vader's IIPA right now. It is really good. Also I spotted a few '16 Sucaba at spanky's liquor yesterday. Mostly just been crushing ballast point longfin.
Please do, they're a really cool local business. The owners have a few places loacally too so all your needs can be met if your traveling to the island.
Been many years, but last time I had a beer at the Port A Brewery it was an extract brewing operation. The hefe was horrible and I asked the waitress if the owner thought this was the way a hefe should taste, and she replied back that the owner doesn't drink beer. Maybe it's changed?
Was in Port A over the weekend for one of my son's wedding. Was able to sneak off with my brother for a quick beer at the Brewery. Had their doppelbock. Very tasty. Most of the restaurants we ate at had at least a small sampling of craft. Had a tasty, fresh Hoppadilla on tap at Fins along with some killer blackened mahi mahi fish tacos.
