Looks like a 7.14% ABV ale with cherries aged in red wine barrels, based on chron.com it will be the same base beer as the Russian imperial stout made for DR No. 5.

I think we're mixing two different BB releases. One is going to be an old ale with cherries aged in red wine barrels. Another is going to be DR 5 aged in barrels. I could easily be wrong, but the article didn't put the two together from what I read.

Spotlight on the Divine Reserve series

What: A periodic release of limited-release beers from Saint Arnold Brewing Co.

Series debut: Divine Reserve No. 1, a barleywine, came out in fall 2005.

Notable vintages: No. 5, a Russian imperial stout released in 2007, will return later this year as Divine Reserve No. 15; No. 9, an imperial pumpkin stout, is now sold each fall as Pumpkinator; No. 11, a double India pale ale, is now sold year-round as Endeavour.

Next up: No. 14, a Belgian strong golden ale, goes on sale Monday.

Retail price: $13.99 per six-pack; $6.99 per 22-ounce bottle at area Goody Goody Liquor stores.

Also in the wings: Saint Arnold will release its 20th Anniversary Ale, a barleywine, in June and the next Divine Reserve beer, the same Russian imperial stout as No. 5, later in the year. In addition, a barrel-aged version of Divine Reserve No. 15 will be released as part of the Bishop's Barrel series.

I think you're right TexasBeerGuy, it doesn't explicitly state BB7. Plus, DR 5 was 10% ABV, and this new BB7 is only 7.19% (according to TABC).

BB7 was already announced as an old ale with cherries, so we can expect the BA Divine 15 sometime in the future, but not as BB7

BB7 sounds like it'll be like BB2 but aged in red wine barrels instead of Chardonnay barrels.

Yeah! If anybody wants some, I'd be happy to send it at cost + shipping, or for some JK stuff perhaps . Definitely picking up a good deal both for drinking and sending back to you guys; our summers definitely will be improved by it.

Greetings friend...there was no mistake in the use of the word "barl"... it's Boontling for "barrel". Hope you get to try them! https://avbc.com/about-us/boontling/

Well, thank you for the clarification. I always like it when breweries actually comment on threads.

So how does label approval work with brewpubs? Why does Black Star have to get approval? Because they sell some beers to go?
