Nevermind, looks like my driver is an idiot and picked up the wrong beer. Regardless I got some 1809 at D & Q and can't wait to drink it. Didn't mean to start the great 1809 panic.

 

I don't think anyone has said that was the actual reason, I was just wildly guessing. Thinking about it though, the fact that their test said 9% could actually be proof that they're falsifying the results, but I thought it was up to the brewery/distributor to test the beer? If it was the TABC who tested the beer, they should be sued out of existence by every brewery in the state for pretty much confirming they're just a scam to make money.

 

What type of price point are people seeing for 1809? I love it, and it is the gold standard for Berlinerweisse, but if the 2nd batch of Boiler Room is as good as people are saying, it may come down to cost...would love to try them side-by-side!

 

Should be $6-7/500mL; perhaps a little more, but I doubt you'll see it for less at retail.
