Could anyone please provide some insight on what this typically trades for? Are there any vintages that are more sought after / valued higher than others? Is the VB Assassin regularly released? Thx!

It's been released 4 times now. Batch 1 is a ghost whale and worth several thousand dollars. I believe it was 2013. Batch 2 is the next most sought after 2019. I'd guess b3 and 4 are pretty close in value

Just as an FYI. I don't think they list it on their website, but TG typically has 4 or 5 of their limited release bottles available in the taproom. I was just there a week or so back, and they had a couple of Assassin variants available. I think the VB was one of them (can't remember the vintage), priced at $50 for a 12 ounce bottle. You have to consume it on premise, and I realize Decorah is a long way from where you live, but if you really want to try a bottle....

They also had the 2022 KBBS available, as well as another assassin variant and two vintages of regular assassin.

Not sure if this info is of any value to you, but thought I would throw it out there. Good luck.

Thanks. I appreciate the details. I’m hoping to visit someday.

I love TG and have been there twice now, but man it’s a chore to get there.

Agreed. We were driving down to Des Moines from Minneapolis, and I convinced my wife TG was sort of on the way. It was a pain In the ass getting there and then it was a pain getting back over to I-35 from Decorah. Iowa isn't the most exciting state to drive around or through.

Amen to all of that. At a minimum, at least if you come from Minny you get the added bonus of hitting Forager on the way down.

It was recommended that we stop by there (Forager), but the timing didn't work. Plus my wife wasn't into it. TG was enough frankly.

You really pulled a fast one convincing her it was on the way . Didn’t that essentially double your driving time?

LOL! Just about... but on that particular day we had time to burn. Fortunately.

Plus, she knew it was an important beer destination for me. She was pretty cool about including it into the travel itinerary.
