That one, elusive local beer...?

Pretty much as the title suggests, what's that one (or more than one) beer that, despite being made by a local brewer, you've simply never managed to get your hands on?

For me, being located in eastern Massachusetts, pretty much smack in the middle of the greater New England region as a whole, but with me personally being very new to the craft scene (only since my 21st birthday--less than a year!) and not in possession of a car of my own, my list is lamentably long. In addition to all the fairly standard entries--Heady Topper, Coolship, pretty much anything Hill Farmstead makes, etc.--I'd put forward NEBCO's Imperial Stout Trooper, Smuttynose's Farmhouse Ale and Baltic Porter, and JA's Framinghammer (still the beer with the coolest name I've ever come across, though maybe that's just how clever I think the pun is...) and Kiwi Rising as local or semi-local beers I crave but have never been able to find in stores or otherwise.

So how about everyone else? What's your list of locally-based beers that you yearn for but have never gotten?

Too soon for you. You need to build up the proper relationships with your local purveyors of said liquid gold.

Everything I have heard of this beer is well beyond positive. I haven't had anything from TG yet though.

For what is apparently a year round beer in PA, Weyerbacher Tiny Imperial Stout always seems to elude me.

Oddly enough that is the only DL I have ever tried.

For me I guess I would have to say any of the Troegs Splinter beers (though idk how local we are talking here as they are a couple hours away from me).

Pipeworks Raspberry Truffle Abduction has become my unicorn. I check the Pipeworks production schedule regularly. I follow all the Binny's beer guys on twitter who announce new arrivals. By the time I make it to a store, they're sold out. I have gotten plenty of Coffee Break Abduction, regular Abduction, and even the new Orange Truffle Abduction without any great effort. But for some reason, Raspberry proves elusive.

For living only 45 minutes away from the Flying Dog brewery, I have never seen BA Gonzo on a shelf.

I also find that the Williamsburg Alewerks more limited stuff goes too fast here in NoVA for me to pick up.

You guys beat me to it. There's no such thing as an elusive local beer for me, thank God.
Someone really should write a haiku about this phenomenon.

Considering how close I live to the brewery, Lawson's Double Sunshine was this beer for me. Your timing has to be pretty darn perfect to find it, but I finally succeeded this June. My wife happened to be driving through Montpelier on a Friday and I made her stop and look. She got two of the twenty bottles for that week and it was..... pretty darn good!

At our local bottle shop and wegmans there are a mere two bombers from Southern Tier and neither of those is creme brulee.

Just had to complain that little bit.

What an odd question...I thought everyone on BA knew that nothing local to you is worth drinking
