So there's a new Skadoosh out:

And I'm sharing this mostly for the end part where he talks about hop combos. I feel like there's thinking that if you put sexy hop plus sexy hop, you get a sexier beer. But I've found that to not be the case (e.g. I think Mosaic and Galaxy really fight each other). Interesting to hear him talk at least about what works well together, albeit briefly.

Drinking my last Focal canned on 8/13. Honestly, it tastes like it was canned this week. I don’t know how they do it but I wish more breweries could be this shelf stable.

Every facet of what the Alchemist does should be an example to all the breweries out there. Beer, employees, shelf stability, price, etc.

It's unbelievable. Shout out to my dad (as if he will ever read this) who brought me back a case of HT and half case of FB from his trip last month. HT is going on two months and still delicious as ever. Years ago I did my own 'research' and found that it peaked around eight weeks. Cheers!

Alchemist and HF really do seem to be a cut above the rest in terms of stability. I have about 3 cans left from a September trip up and the Riwaka pale I had last night was as good or better than some I cracked the week after canning. And it's not even like it tasted faded but still good - the Riwaka was still front and center. I've got one Crusher left from the Alchemist stop on that trip and I expect the same.
