To be fair, the store may be thinking they sell thousands of dollars of other beer, liquor and wine with minimal devotion to phone calls of products, but then get dozens of calls for a few cases of Alchemist which they are getting how much revenue from? Still dumb, but that is my charitable reading of the situation if the store is in fact quite busy.

I'm back to drinking beer again on Thursday ... not that I need to buy much beer as I've homebrewed a few times and I have a stack of media samples to get through. I don't see my self paying more than $2 (off-premise) for a bottle or can of beer for the rest of this year aside from the Alchemist.

Heady and Focal drop at Yankee Norwood tomorrow, so I'm guessing other South Shore spots will be getting some as well...

I was out running a (face-masked) errand and saw that Downtown Wine & Spirits had some Alchemist, so I popped in. They were offering mixed four-packs -- 2 HT, 2 FB. I asked if I could just do a four-pack of Heady instead, which they obliged. Happy to get some Alchemist, not stoked about the price, but what can you do? Crazy I can get 15 House Lagers or 12 Whites for the same price. Eh, I'll splurge once in a while.

A little steep but it is nice to treat yourself.
I am debating whether to pull the trigger on a $20 4pak of Equilibrium MC2. I have never had it.
I wish all this stuff was like $12. It is funny because I used to think a $12 6pak was expensive.

LOL yup. That's my biggest issue. $12 6-packs were expensive. Then, seemingly overnight, those $12 6-packs were $12 4-packs and then 4-packs endured but prices kept going up.

Anyway, I say buy it. This shit ain't going anywhere. We're stuck inside forever. Might as well enjoy some beer.

It's really good but yeah, that's steep. I mean, not more expensive than what I'm seeing it for retail down in NOVA (it's the same), but there's also a reason it's not moving that quickly here. Retailers are flush with product right now too.

    I did it!
I also added Wavelength to my order.
    I think I have a problem.

You're a great asset to this community! Mind keeping us posted on whatever goodies might be coming down the pipeline? I've been overdue for a visit to Empire.

The Philly area got a drop of Heady and Focal this week. Monk's Cafe, which does not usually offer beer for takeout, was selling four packs for $30 each plus tax—and sold out. Someone asked about the price, and they responded, "we are taking a small markup on our cost. Have to consider wholesaler markup to get the stuff into PA. Normal price is $8 in house. Other folks sell it for $12/can around here."

Thanks for the tip, Nate. Went fast, but got a four-pack of Focal, & case of Fiddlehead IPA.

We are on Untappd, search Empire Wine and Spirits under venue. Also on Instagram at empirebeerdept. Those are the best options to see what we have that’s new! I try to keep the untappd updated every week

Is Alchemist being dropped in Massachusetts this week? I was looking on their website / FB feed, Night shifts, and the stores I frequent and didn't see anything about it.
    The list wasn't updated either.

Can anyone confirm that they now date the cans? I’ve heard a couple stories of them having dates on them. What have been the freshest y’all have seen if so?
