This is too bad... Hopefully this error will be righted asap. I've never had a bad beer from The Alchemist and I thought for a gluten free beer it was decent but not bad at all - after all a gluten free beer is like a sugar free chocolate cake, even when it's done very well it's never going to be the same.

I gave one of my gluten intolerant friends who always drinks hard cider a tweason's ale and she loved it! So for people like her I think it's great to get more variety in gluten free alcoholic drinks.

This whole situation, from contract brew and wider release to recall just seems nothing like The Alchemist. Really weird.

If anyone bought theirs at Craft Beer Cellar, they will give you a refund if you bring them back.

Bring 'em back?? They're collectors items now.

They're just tapping into a new market since there aren't many gluten free beers for celiacs to drink.

Trend doesn't mean bad, I just see lots of good brewers making a gluten free beer in the next few years.

I saw six four-packs of Celia Saison at Burlington (MA) Wines & Spirits today. They were on a shelf in the back of the store.

Interesting, as they said it would be a few weeks before the corrected batch would be out.

I'm guessing they didn't hear about the recall or just don't care.

New batch out yet? Any way to tell which I got? I grabbed some bottles at Julio's on Sun

Yes the new batch has been out for a bit. I'm sure you got the new one.

The bottles we got at Winooski Beverage on Sunday (12 oz) weren't particularly enjoyable; seems like they must have been part of the bad batch. I wonder if the corrections will help the flavor and not just the head as mentioned in the blog post.

I think that's just how those kind of beers taste. It was nice to try but since I have no gluten allergy I'll stick to regular beers.

I see...maybe I just don't like the taste of sorghum.

I saw bottles at the Co-op in Brattleboro, VT last week. Can't remember the format though.

I liked Celia (in bottles). I thought it was a very good saison on its own merits, gluten-free or not, and it definitely was the best gluten-free beer I've ever had.

Julio's had one pack of it left yesterday. Am really thinking it was 4 12-ozish bottles but bear in mind I'm fighting a migraine and want to play with my puppy.
