Any mention of Thanksgiving week hours yet?

 

Jasper Hill needs very little beer to wash the batch. And I seem to recall the last time I drank it was in the brewpub, pre-flood.

 

It was served late in the day at the Funk on the Water fest at Foam this summer. Had a pour and it was amazing!

 

Jeez, I was there, and forgot all about that! It WAS good!

 

Was the brewery open last year during the week between Christmas and New Years? I'm hoping to visit Thursday the 28th or Friday the 29th.

 

I just poured a Skadoosh a minute ago ... lots of floaties ... very similar to the last Focal Banger I poured (actually less). Just letting them settle to bottom of glass.

 

Bought some Skadoosh Saturday as part of our annual "Bed & Brew" tour. Took one out and poured it into a glass (which I never do). Looked pretty clean with just a few floaties. May have something to do with freshness or whether the beer has been kept cold. Hmmm.

 

Skadoosh VII is really good. I think I like it better than Focal.

 

Anyone know if Alchemist is canning anything else this week besides the four beers listed on its website??

 

Anyone know when Crusher went from 9% to 8%? My Untappd pic from 1/30/17 was the higher ABV and I don’t think Kimmich out a video explaining a change.

 

I don’t know about when the crusher recipe changed but I prefer the new verison. The original lived up to its name if you know what I mean

 

The cans I picked up on 10/13 were still 9% so presumably sometime after that.

I get why the 9% formulation was controversial, but I liked it as an occasional hot hop hit. I hope Alchemist doesn’t give up on hoppy beers hitting that ABV or higher.

 

I think i prefer the 9% version because it was such an explosion of hop flavor. That said, this one was easier to drink on a weeknight

 

Saw they released El jeffe today... Anyone know their hours around Christmas?

This is older but I highly recommend you sit down on the couch and enjoy this one with a Heady/Focal in hand sometime. His passion for beer is contagious

Its funny to watch as a compilation. These videos he makes are perfect though because each time makes me want to run to Stowe and taste the deliciousness too.
