I've mentioned that to the owner/brewer as well and I was told it really isn't meant to be that sour and that calling it a gose was because of the sea salt and coriander and they like it to be a true intro to sours. I guess like a sour for non sour drinkers. Not my favorite beer from them but my gf drinks it like its water. They've been killing it lately though. The study abroad berliner was nice and tart and at the brewery you can get it unflavored and add your own syrup. They said the cans are with woodruff. Picked up a 6 at Patsy's in Lyndhurst last week.

Has anyone tried the Modular DIPA? Thoughts? They are $12 for 12oz 4-pack at my local store.

Modular is probably my favorite IPA they've put out. Up there with Hops and Dreams IMO. There's a spicy herbaceousness (not burn, and not particularly heat spicy) to it that works really well with the tropical fruit.

Modular is great. I can't stop drinking it. I get this crazy strawberry jolly rancher taste, which is weird, but awesome.
I can't believe these guys are five minutes from my house.
Agree about Let's Begin. To me, it was too bready to be called a Gose. The Berliner Weisse and Pilsner they had on tap on Friday were excellent.

Forum bump. Try the double hopped a-game. They did a good job on this one.

I finally got around to a sixer of the Hackensack Lager, and am surprised to see that this is a common issue that's been around for a while. I don't think it's all due to the force carb, either- there's a hardness in the water profile, and it's more indicative of something being amiss with the proteins. Sadly if affects the mouthfeel as well as the head retention, and keeps the beer from hitting the next level. Flavorwise, it's spot on, and I can drink a few in a row without anything seeming off at all, which is an accomplishment in and of itself.

It's a tricky style to pull off, but ultimately it's attention to the details that makes for an elite beer. These guys are so close, too- I hope that they can figure it out soon.

Didn't realize how close this brewery was to my house, under 4 miles! So I stopped in last night while running an errand.

Got a flight. 1st session was very good, 2nd session was OK, Modular was alright as well but man, Porterico stole the show. F-ing amazing! Grabbed a full pour of it after the flight. Hope to see it more and in cans soon! Picked up a 6 of DDH A-Game to go. FYI...according to bartender, they were almost out of cans at the brewery. She said just a few more cases left and I saw 2 people buy full cases.

Great little tap room. I can imagine parking is tough on a weekend. But for a weeknight, it was no problem. Not crowded at all, air conditioned and comfortable. Will visit again in the future, especially when Porterico pops back up!

They have a list/map of spots where you can park on the weekends when surrounding businesses are closed.

Their IPA's are decent to good but some of their lagers are very good, a couple of tweaks from outstanding. And I agree Porterico is fantastic, will be grabbing a growler after work today. Take some time to talk to the owners next time your in.. good guys.

I was there last week and enjoyed Portico, but their lagers are where it's at. I think they're very good. They pilsner was nice and refreshing.

Really enjoyed the first batch (pictured above). Going to have to grab some of the September batch ASAP, hoping it’s still available locally. Will report back here if and when I get my hands on some

I finally got to visit the brewery and had a nice flight. The new beer Downtime Pale Ale is really damn good. Went home with a 6 pack.
