Does anyone know if AC opens to the public after the event tonight (after 9pm)? I’d assume they would have a line if so, maybe not the best idea any way lol.

At this point, BAIGCCS probably needs its own Huna Day-style release, off-site, with a festival attached. And everything else is probably going to have to go to ticketed (or at least silent) releases. They outgrew that space months ago.

I was thinking the same thing about a fest. In a few years, AC can sell to a conglomerate, ramp up production, then start distributing BAIGCCS throughout Florida and other surrounding states  :whale:

What’s the situation down at Angry Chair? Is there any chance of getting in to grab a beverage or two?

I got there at 5 and had to wait 15 minutes to get in. The tap list is bonkers. When we left a little after 6 the line was 20 deep. 1 in 1 out.

I agree with this. If you want it then get in line. Better than dealing with ticket bots.

    Ticket bots?

I dunno, Bottle Logic mostly has it pretty well figured out, if you want to use mules or whatever, you need to have their drivers license, and CC, and they need to match when you go to the event.

Bottles might sell out in 30 seconds, but boom, no waiting in line, no wasting peoples time, and no angry neighborhood.

They also sell bottles randomly at the facility so locals get a much better chance at score bottles than those who aren't local.

It really seems the only people defending lines are those that would be able to bring mules/grandma/'hired help' to skirt limits and artificially increase the perceived value of beer on the gray market.

    That's a rather bold assumption

So let's flip it....seems most complaining about lines are people from out of town or those who just want to whine about waiting....does that get us anywhere? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Bottle logic sales.....people complain a plenty. Just look at the comments after a sale is over. So it's not devoid of detractors either

When I was at Arkane for Sneaky Coocnut a guy was bragging to me he got 4 cases of DB Pop cuz he hired mules for $20/hr and had bottles presold online for $350-$450.

Any way to avoid that happening should be used (i.e. online sales or lotto)

Check id? No way every single one of those hobos has an id

Make steps to up production like cycle did.

FWIW - No one checked my ID at BAIGCCS. A few in our group were down earlier in the week and had the same experience at the other AC releases. One of the guys heard employees telling people they were only checking IDs if you "looked too young."

The lines aren't the problem so much as the location/parking situation. If folks are camping out overnight outside of a warehouse with no residential homes in sight, there's really no issue. And, speaking for myself at least, if I know I can just park in a large lot and not have to worry about pissing off an entire neighborhood or getting towed for being too close to a stop sign or driveway, I'm not showing up at 5:30-6:00am like I do now for regular releases.

Generally speaking, AC needs to find ways to discourage folks from showing up so early and drinking for hours in a residential neighborhood. That could happen by upping production; moving out of the area; doing a ticketed/numbered release of some sort; or creating a membership club where folks pay an annual fee to get first dibs on releases before they hit the general public. Whatever they decide, I think they're past the point of doing nothing and then acting shocked when there are issues.

A combination of these things are the only way to stop the insanity.
