Untappd making a stop at The Answer in a few weeks for their 7 City Tour. Just so happens to be during Anniversary Week on a Friday. Hope they are prepared for a crazy turnout.

If anyone is going to be in RVA this SAT (Sept. 14th) The Diablo Forever event kicks off at both Mekong & The Answer at Noon. Seems like I forgot to post about this so here it is below as well as the first 20 lots announced for the Silent Auction. They are announcing 10 Lots each day this week leading up to Saturday so be sure to activate notification settings on the event or in the Q&A Facebook group.

Please join us at the Answer Brewpub and Mekong on Saturday, September 14th to celebrate Quy's life and for a fundraising event to benefit his family. There will be special beer and glassware (more details coming soon) and there will be a silent auction split between both restaurants throughout the day. Auction lots will include bottles, glassware and other memoriabilia donated by you guys - the awesome friends of the Answer and Mekong community and family. Exact details and pictures for each of the lots will be shared closer to the day of the fundraiser.

A few notes:
- Lot items will not be out on the tables during the event, only lists and pictures. All items will be packaged safely for pick up.
- All lots must be picked up at the Answer, no proxies. The person who is on the bid sheet has to be the one to pick up the winnings.
- There will be some tables with lots/sheets at Mekong and some at the Answer - location in each restaurant TBD and how many at each place is TBD

Diablo Forever Auction Details
These details apply to the in person auction. There will be some lots offered online as well but we will post details about that later this week.

PREREGISTRATION - Click HERE
- Participants can preregister leading up to the event

REGISTRATION
- Everyone participating in the auction will need to fill out a form to register. There will be a table set up to register at the Answer the day of the event towards the back bar but please preregister to speed things up.
- The name on your registration should match the name entered on any bid sheets, and a matching photo ID will be required for pick up.
- Participants can preregister leading up to the event here:

AUCTION
- There will be auction tables in the banquet room at Mekong and in the back bar at the Answer.
- Each table will have a lot sheet with a photo and a list of all items in that lot. Auction items will not be kept out on the tables to prevent any possible damage.
- Bids for each lot will be placed on a matching bid sheet. Each sheet will have a starting bid.
- Lots will have a minimum increase so for example if a lot has a minimum increase of $5 and you want to beat a $30 bid, you would have to bid $35.
- Volunteers will be stationed at each table to help participants place bids and to answer any questions about the lots.
- Bidding at both Mekong and the Answer will open at 12:30.
- All bidding at Mekong will be closed at 3:30.
- All bidding at the Answer will be closed at 4:00.
- All winners will be announced at the Answer starting at 4:30.

PROXIES
- Proxies are allowed in the sense that you can pool your funds or split up any items that you win however you like. However, you will still need to follow the same rules for the auction and pickup as if you were bidding as single participant. All bids should be made under the name of the person physically present for the auction and all rules for pick up still apply.


PICK UP
- A photo ID with a name matching the name on the bid sheets is required for pick up.
- Payments will need to be made in full, in a single transaction directly to the GoFundMe at the time of pick up. There will be laptops available for winners to make payments and volunteers helping with that process.
- Pick up will be at the warehouse loading bay once the payment has been made. Volunteers will direct you to the pickup location.
- Items must be taken off premises immediately and cannot be brought through the restaurant or brewery.
- Once the items leave the warehouse the Answer is not responsible for any damaged or misplaced items.
- Auction items will not be shipped or held at the Answer for later pick up. Any lots where the winner cannot be contacted or where the winner cannot make the full payment will defer to the next highest bid. Please be present for the close of the auction if you make bids. We will make every effort to contact you using the information from your registration, but all items must be picked up immediately following the close of the auction.

For those not on Q&A and planning to show up today or other days this week looks like a few die hards (less than 10 as of Noon) are already perched in line. Assuming they are mainly there for the scratchers but if this is what's is shaping up to be on day 1 for just a new house glass colorway and Pils can release it's going to be a very loooong week for some! So plan your arrivals accordingly.

Also, update on the auction held over the weekend was posted. $21,215 was raised to go towards Quy's family.
