    I am a Richmond, VA native and a regular patron at The ANswer Brewpub since it opened in Late 2014. The Answer started brewing roughly a year ago and continuously pumps out PHENOMENAL IPA's that rival many of the top IPA's on the market. Larceny IPA won Top Beer at the 2015 Virginia Craft Beer Cup and mostly recently Rate Beer named The Answer as the top new brewer in the State of VA. The Answer currently has no distro, so many people are unaware of the greatness they are missing. I had several friends that attended Huna Fest last weekend and had the opportunity to try various Answer beers (Megablast, Hard In The Paint were confirmed) that were offered at the festival. It is exciting to see The Answer getting more recognition on a national level and starting to gain the hype it definitely deserves.

    More about The Answer:
    -Owned by An Bui: who also owns the infamous "Mekong" (a few doors down from Answer, Mekong was rated as the "best beer bar in the U.S." multiple times including this year-52 taps) and "Commercial Taphouse" both located in Richmond.
    -Large pub with a front and back bar: with offerings from various breweries nationally and internationally in addition to their in-house brews: totaling 56 taps
    -Stage with live music (Monday nights: Mekong Xpress & The Get Fresh Horns)
    -5 bbl system, but recently bought additional space to expand the brewing operation
    -Crowler/Growler fills available for most of their brews: no distro currently
    -Food is excellent
    -Gaming: board games, life size Jenga, arcade games, etc.
    -Staff: personable, beer lovers, knowledgeable

    If you are ever in the Richmond area, be sure to make a pit stop at The Answer Brewpub (and Mekong). Remember: Beer is ALWAYS The ANswer!

    Good work getting the hyperbole train rolling. We don't, however, want to hear any whining from you when there's a line to get in everyday.

    I know a bunch of people who know of Answer. Their IPAs that I have had been great, but they aren't the best. I'd love to try their morning juice series, but I've heard no crowlers on those.

    The Morning Juice's are solid. They actually had Morning Juice 9 available for crowler fills a few weeks ago.

    Got to try a crowler of Morning Juice 9...Holy SHIT! I wish I knew about it sooner so I could of gotten a crowler.

    The "andall" stouts they periodically have on at Mekong are out of this world. Often adding candies, nuts, spices to create some of the best dessert stouts I've ever had. Is the base stout for this brewed through The Answer?

    The Andall's are also a great touch to both Answer and Mekong... and excellent. In most instances, I believe they use various stouts on the tap list before randalling them

    I'm not a huge fan of gimmicky stuff like randalls, but the hoppy beers the Answer is putting out are as good as or better than the best that can be found in VA and NC.

    If you follow beer news in VA you know about Mekong and The Answer. I don't think they are having any problems getting recognition. Mega Blast sold out in 2 days last time it was brewed. Guessing plenty of crowlers were shipped out of state and plenty of locals missed out. Take care of Richmond/VA first and then worry about the rest of the country.

    Anyone have any idea what Answer beers they have on tap now? Their site has been down for a week or so and the wife is swinging by there this afternoon on the way south

    They currently have crowler fills for she good and lost identity. They drop "Damn Daniel" on Tuesday

    Nice easy drinkin porter. Not sure on the limit on those 2 offerings but would assume more than 2

    I was in Richmond for the Cycling World Championships last September and this was the one place I had to go to. Nice place and the beers were great.

    I had Christmas Morning randallized through coconut and it was like drinking an Almond Joy bar. I asked how much coconut was used, to which the bartender responded Probably a lot. An doesn't screw around when it comes to coconut." I feel you can trust a guy like that to do the right thing most any given time.
