I haven't had a lot of beers from Ohio but that BA Siberian Night you brought me is right up there with some of the best BA stouts I've had. Keep bringing em back. Oh and I'll gladly take some Blackout stout too :-).

Agreed, Cadillac Mountain is a phenomenal beer. Been a go to beer of mine for years.

Zonkers from Wyoming gets my nod for that state.
And I never really agree for Eviltwin being from New York State !!

Unfortunately the stout offerings from Kansas Brewers are few and far between but Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat along with a few of its varietals are probably the best. We're lucky to have Boulevard right next door.

Hardywood GBS is pretty amazing the first time you partake... if there was a runner up, I'd throw it at Blue Mountain Dark Hollow (way less hype, way more gettable, so good)

Agree with @brother_rebus on RI. Proclamation's Zzzlumber is pretty damn good too, as well as Tilted Barn's Raffi.

As for Arizona, Elsie's from Papago is good but they missed AZ Wilderness Presidential Stout. Man that is good. And not even mentioning Speedway Stout from Alesmith for California is sacrilegious IMO with no disrespect to FW.

Darkness is great, but its not the best stout in Minnesota...Barrel aged Silhouette takes that

I disagree with Ohio's but it's all a matter of opinion/preference. I didn't like Blackout stout. I also haven't had the barrel aged version. I would definitely put any Jackie O's as first (my preference being BB Dark Apparition). BORIS is really good, Siberian Night is really good, and the coffee vanilla Axis Mundi from MadTree should absolutely be in the discussion. All great beers that I prefer over Blackout Stout, but Blackout Stout is widely loved, so I have no problem with it being named the best of Ohio.

I love pumpkinator and there's no doubt its a great stout but Texas hasn't really been seen as a stout state...yet
Haven't had The Temptress but 512 and BBH are porters (BBH vanilla is one of my favorites)
JK black metal is probably a little "out there" for the "best stout in Texas", good stuff either way

Looking forward to a new brewery opening next month (Brash) and they're making an imperial stout that I'm hoping is going to knock every ones pants off

Mexican Cake gets all the hype, but BA Blackbeerd is the better beer to me

I have to agree with Kane's A Night to End All Dawns. But I'm surprised that NJ doesn't produce more good stouts. Our local IPA's a better. For a guy going by "MacMalt," it's a little disappointing!

Agreed, Boris is excellent, but in a side by side Black out won recently when me and the little lady when we tried it. Need to try Doris along side Black out as well AND Siberian which she is fond of.

What about Dark Apparition from Jackie O's? Have a bottle waiting for a good moment and remember fondly that it rocked!

I have to say Huna even though I have never tried it. Marshal Zhukov is second. Catherine's passion from Swamphead third.

I love GL Blackout. Great beer. I would argue that Thirsty Dog Siberian Night is as good. That being said, they apparently have not had any Jackie O's beers though.
