Yeti is great but not available in my area. I have yet to try Ten Fidy and it is available so I apparently need to bump that up on my list. I also like Left Hand Nitro.

Old Rasputin RIS is always awesome. But if you're in the mood for something less heavy (at least to me) I like to drink the Guinness Extra Stout. Both good.

    Old Raspy, no doubt.

Seems like Old Rasputin is the common denominator in all these posts. Also Yeti

My go to is the Fort George Cavatica. Oscar Blues Ten Fidy is mighty tasty as well. And when I can find it, Old Viscocity from Port Brewing.

Old Rasputin is $11 for a 4 pack here, Yeti not available but I got a few bombers from Denver for $10 each. Zonker is $9 a six pack and Dragonstooth is $4 or less a bomber. I'd go with the latter two on price vs. quality.

Old Rasputin is probably the most accessible stout but I'd rather look around for Yeti or Ten Fidy.

Thanks for this thread. I've never been big into stouts but that is changing. Most of my favorites in the style tend to the seasonals and special releases. But I shall try many of the suggestions as I find them and see where it goes.

Lagunitas IRS is a go-to for me. Can't be beat for the price, and it's always available.

Obviously what's available depends on your location. In Northern California I gravitate towards Firestone Oatmeal Stout, Deschutes Obsidian, and Ninkasi Oatis

A buddy and i did a side by side with Narwhal and Old Raspy. We both preferred Narwhal, whick sucked because it is costlier. That said, I cannot believe more people are not touting Speedway.
