Anyone else looking forward to the Marmalade iteration if Sticky Hands? Have they done this one before? If so, I'm interested to hear what folks thought about it.

From a recent Block 15 email:

    Sticky Hands, Marmalade
    Hop Experience Ale

Occasionally, our brewers combine our base Sticky Hands recipe with innovative techniques and hops sourced from around the world, in order to create a unique variation of our Hop Experience Ale. Our second variation of 2016, Sticky Hands, Marmalade combines a trio of classic Block 15 hops (Chinook, Amarillo, and Apollo) with the new Belma varietal, which brings a mix of grapefruit and candied orange peel character. We selected this hop blend to complement our base Hop Experience Ale with zesty and jammy orange notes, while fermentation with a blend of English and American Ale yeast accentuates this beer's fruity notes and produces a silkier mouthfeel.

Happy Valley New Seasons has 4 packs of Marmalade Sticky Hands if anyone is dying to try it. They had at least 5 4 packs there an hour ago.

From more experienced SH drinkers, what are your thoughts on the 12/19 batch?

Just tried the current Figgy Pudding on draft over at Growler Guys last night. At least for my palate, this is easily the best version I've ever had from B15. Incredible flavors of toffee, hot buttered rum, vanilla and brandy.

Man, you weren't kidding about it being a crazy amount. I put off dinner to hit Chuck's first. Not even kinda necessary. Thanks for the heads up.

Are there still 4 packs of IHS at Chuck's?

Even if several bus loads of New England beer tourists were deposited there right after I left last night, there is absolutely no way they could have sold through the veritable mountain that they had.

    Just throwing this out there:

If anybody sees any of the Super Neb variants floating around, gimme a heads up! I was able to snag a Breakfast with the Buffalo last year from a bottle shop about a week after the release and I would love to get another one this year.

Speaking of Super Nebula, anyone else have a chance to try this year's version?

It was on tap at Arch Bridge on Saturday, and I tried it side by side with Double Stack, Christmas Bomb and Ft. George Matryoshka. It was by far the weakest beer in the flight, and struck me as a bit lighter with less bourbon than in previous vintages (but at least on tap, there were no carbonation issues). Still enjoyable, and maybe in different company it would have shown better (the Matryoshka was really, really good), but even so, I have to say I was expecting a bit more than what I got from this year's SN.

I had it on tap at the brewery on Saturday and also had a bottle yesterday and I enjoyed them both a great deal. I got a decent amount of bourbon and found it to be sufficiently full-bodied. I think I preferred the Super Nebula to the bottle of Matryoshka I had. Full disclosure ... this is the first year that I've tried Super Nebula so I can't compare with previous vintages.

On another note, I thought the Breakfast with Woodford was really special. One of the first beers with maple syrup in it that I've really enjoyed. Would recommend giving this one a try if possible.
