Ho hum, another stellar IPA from Block 15. Highly recommend.

You know what I think is somewhat interesting? It wasn't all that long ago that the Block 15 sticky hands DIPA was seen as the only really decent/popular IPA/DIPA made by Block 15. In fact, even the monthly sticky hands recipe seemed to be hit and miss (some batches were really good, and some weren't all that great). For the longest time, when I thought of top flight B15 beers, it was their BA program, their sours and their Belgian style offerings that always came to mind. Yet now, I think it would be fair to say that B15 is likely one of the top 5 breweries in the state when it comes to making top flight IPA's. I don't know how they've managed to do it, but it just seems incredible that in such a short period of time, they've managed to up their IPA game so greatly.

Anyone know how their delivery schedule works? They hit SW Portland every four weeks and Juice Joint got released just after the last delivery, does that mean SW will just go without? Either way, open to any tips on spots with cans still.

Yeah, I know, that's what I'm referring to. What I'm wondering is, if a delivery is 4 weeks out from the release date, do they even bother delivering it or does that spot just not get any. Also, not all the spots listed there get every release, that's why I was asking for places that still have cans.

No idea, but I do know that my local (b2 in Salem) gets deliveries from B15 more than once a month. They got Dab Lab cans last week, and they're delivering some stuff today too. I'd guess that the "official" Sticky Hands can dealers get first dibs on the one-off stuff. Just speculating though.

Have not seen any cans, but the beer is currently on tap over at NWIPA. Normally, I would assume that they also got some cans it (so maybe give them a call?), but unless that happened within the last 24 hours, my guess is that the cans are already long gone.

I might just wait until MoC puts it on. They're planning on tapping a keg soon but said they aren't getting any cans.

Which MofC is that? I wasn't aware that any of their stores had a draft system.

LOL!!! But then I'd have to put them ahead of Barley Brown and Boneyard, and it's pretty hard for me to do that.

Was at Growler Guys this afternoon, and tried the juice joint next to a glass of headshake. Probably not a very fair comparison, but as you can probably imagine, the headshake blew the JJ out of the water. Loved the JJ, don't get me wrong, but IMHO, it's really not in the same league with the better IPA's and DIPA's from Barley Brown. Course that's just my opinion.

That being said, I agree with your post above. The latest DAB lab brew is absolutely delicious.

You could always grab a crowler of it in town as well. GG on SE 8th also has it on tap, and I think you can pick up a crowler for $10. It was going fast this evening, but I heard tell they have a second keg as well, so you should be able to grab a crowler there this weekend if you have a mind. Good beer for sure, but right now GG has a lot of great stuff on tap (the new pFreim TIPA is absolutely delish).

thats where we differ. Im kind of over the insane hop bomb/high ABV double and triple IPAs. Notoriouis/Headshake/Breakside Triple/pFriem Triple are all just too much for me now. 8.5 - 9% seems to be about my threshold.

:-) Actually, I think we're on the same page. I like those beers, but increasingly, I just can't handle that kind of abv. Increasingly, I've become a big fan of Wanderlust IPA. It's an excellent IPA to begin with, but the 6% abv. is an absolute godsend for a geezer like me. I also like the Upright pils (well hopped pils) and Boneyard's bone-a-fide. The alcohol level is low enough that I can actually have a couple of pints without forgetting who I am or where I parked the car.

Was at GG on Friday, and got a 10 ounce glass of juice joint, headshake and the Don Vannucci (I almost never order pints). I was unable to finish my glasses of HS and DV, but even so, by the time I left I was really feeling it. As much as I like beers like notorious, the pfriem TIPA and beers like hop venom and headshake, I very rarely order them any more.

    Looks like it's on now, $7.50 for a 32oz fill ain't bad.

Still haven't seen cans of this anywhere in town, but it's been showing up on tap all over town.

That being said, $7.50 is a very good price for a 32 ounce fill.
