I missed it on tap by 15 min....just my luck. So I cracked one of my bottles open. Sooo good, and was near identical to my memory of Breakfast with the Buffalo. Just a great BA breakfast stout. Wish they made more of it because this is WAY better than Super neb. They should tweak the super neb recipe because it's not on par with the quality of beer they put out with basically every other style. Imagine and cherry imagine put SN to shame.

Completely agree with everything you said. In fact, the BWW was so much better, it was hard for me to believe that the base beer was the SN.

I'm having my first taste of this year's Super Nebula tonight, from a bottle I picked up at the taproom release. It seems thin and lacks richness and has a bit of that oaky sourness you sometimes get with bourbon barrel-aged beers. Not an infection, just a bourbon-y sourness. It is not a bad beer, but this is not the smooth, smoldering Super Nebula I remember from years past.

Crux is interesting to me. Tough Love and Half Hitch are both outstanding. Most of the barrel aged beers are very good as well. Their price point always seems a little high to me and they haven't hit a grand slam yet with any regular or seasonal offerings.

That said, my buddy who travels to Bene for work brought a BA freakcake variant back from the brewery and it was god damn magnificent

Lol. With only 179 bottles released, I'm the only one to write a review

I've had that Cranberry Freakcake, I just have zero interest in reviewing anything here anymore. Killer beer, though.

I buy sticky hands about every week... if not every week. Drinking a 2-20-17 canning right now, and it's off. It's not right. Just not hoppy as usual. Anyone else?

Yeah I really only reviewed it for my records in hopes I would see it again. Didnt know they made so little of it at the time

Crux has done a lot of small batch, large bottle format brewery-only releases with Freakcake variants. They weren't cheap.

Now that the season of huge IPAs (pliney the younger, safe word, pfriem triple, hop juju, etc.) is winding down (sort of), I have to check in and say this years Block 15 "the incredible" might be my favorite so far. Clocking in at 10.5%, it's a big beer but incredibly drinkable.

Sounds pretty similar to last year's version (which was also excellent and amazingly drinkable). I saw that GG now has it on tap, and just need to find the time to get over there and try it.

For some reason I remember last years being a bit more harsh/bitter but that usually is completely dependent on where and when I drank it and what beer I had before it.

Picked up a 4 pack of The Incredible earlier this week. It's pretty incredible. Probably even better than Pfriem's double which is saying a lot.

Did anyone other than Chuck's get Sticky Fingers in the Seattle area? They sold out of their cans on the day they got 'em.

Sticky Hands? I believe Bottleworks tweeted that they got some yesterday, but I can't imagine it staying long there.

I believe all of the normal drop spots got some but in very limited quantities. Beer Junction only got 2-3 cases. I think Chuck's CD got around 10 cases.

Had the same experience with last years Incredible. This years is back on point and my favorite of the Triple or Imperial Double IPAs.
