The current batch (of FF) is really, really good. Am having a glass at Tin Bucket, and agree it's incredible.

Super Nebula on tap over at Beer O'clock right now... In fact, current tap list there is not half bad.

Was within a block of there this afternoon and didn't think to go in. Oh well, didn't come home empty handed. BTW the Whole Foods in the Pearl has Rusty (as does everywhere else it seems )

Highly recommend you and Monica stop by next time you're in town. Lardo and Grassa both provide good food, and the tap list at Beer O'clock is invariably outstanding. The wine selection sucks, but you can bring your own with a $15 corkage fee.

Block 15 was my first true love for craft beer. Are they only sending out the Oasis Sticky Hands to Central Oregon, need to get my hands on that.

According to their IG, that would seem to be the case. 5 Bend locations and 1 in Redmond. The sample pour I had at Brewfest did not blow my socks off, but I’ll have to try it again and do my part to ensure B15 sees CO-exclusive releases as a viable idea.

Side question: they mention tweaking the malt bill for this one, and it’s already pretty well established that they play with the hop bill regularly. If neither the hop bill nor the malt bill is “standard”, does this beer really have enough in common with the regular Sticky Hands to share the name (other than that’s how B15 branded it)?

Peach Punch you in the Eye has been making the rounds in the PDX area. Just as good as always.

Cans? If so, where have you seen these tasty items?

Saw some at Tin Bucket recently. I would assume John's has cans as well, but can't say that based on actual experience.

Perishable Produce is around Portland right now in cans. Really liked this one.

I enjoyed that one a lot last year, and was happy to pick up a 4-pack at Orenco tonight. It might find its way into the pregame before tomorrow's Timbers match.

It's crazy, but I remember the first time I had Sticky Hands......Ha, I hated it! Now, I can't seem to get enough of Block 15.

Don't laugh, but plan on driving to In & Out Burger and Crater Lake. So, I have a question:

Is a visit to the brewery worth it? In other words, it seems like you can find most of Block 15's stuff in the Portland area and Washington State on occasion. Does Block 15 ever do unique or brewery only releases that drop somewhat frequently? Thanks for any opinions/info

IMHO, no it's not. There's nothing special about the food there (it's good, solid, pub style grub), and other than for special release events, pretty much everything you'll find on tap at the pub can be found around PDX.

When I lived in Eugene, it was no more than a 45 minute drive to the brewery from my house. Yet other than for special events, I would almost never make the drive over to the brewery. It was just too easy to find B15 beers around town without having to make the drive, and there was nothing special otherwise about the food, vibe or beer selection at the brewery.

At one time, a lot of folks would drive over just to make sure they were able to get a good allocation of fresh Sticky Hands (back when SH releases were much more uncommon), but PDX gets such a good allocation of Sticky Hands these days, that's very much become a thing of the past.

If you've never been and are really a fan of B15, then what the hell, I'd say go ahead and make the drive. You'll certainly have a nice time, but I wouldn't expect to encounter anything unusual or extraordinary there.

I have to disagree with John. I hit Corvallis about once a month for business and regularly encounter bottles at either location that are not easily attainable within their distribution footprint. Mostly leftovers from special release events.

If you are only going for sticky hands or their usual lineup, then I wouldn’t go out of the way to visit.

On top of that, they do crowlers at both locations so you can grab things to-go that never get bottled.

I like the production facility better as a place to hang out vs the downtown pub

I think it would be worth the visit if you had never been. Also, he can stop by the criminally underrated Flat Tail to try some of their beers as a lot of their releases are pub only.

Second this recommendation for the production facility. They almost always have a good selection of bottles and crowlers available, and their food is pretty good. I especially recommend the pretzel if you want something that isn't a full entree.

Yeah, I've only been a few times but when I did, half the taps were either non-packaged stuff or limited release to the point that bottles weren't available any longer.

I must have always gone at the wrong time, as outside of special release events, I don't recall ever seeing any special bottles on offer to go at the brewery.

@JasonJYoung. Disregard what I said and go with the recommendations made by everyone else. Have fun.

Ha Ha @John_M . After reading through your first response, I was starting to think about other places as possibilities. Then others chimed in (thanks BTW), so I figured what the heck indeed. Appreciate the responses.

Also, why do I have this feeling that In & Out might not live up to the hype....... I gotta try it though. My favs have always been Whataburger and Culvers from back in the Midwest.
